It was just called "a dark dimension" until it was officially named Darkforce. • *Why didn't you mention Blackheart living and ruling over the Darkforce Dimension?* - Because in my research, I couldn't find ANYTHING backing that claim up. It looks like this was some nonsense somebody put on a wiki page without any sources, but nobody bothered fact checking. Since then, people kept parroting this and ALSO didn't fact check so it's become a misconception. By all means, if you have a source showing otherwise, let me know and I'll make an amendment.

I really hope that this channel takes off and that it gets the recognition it deserves because I feel like a lot of the popular comic book-related channels don't do nearly as much analyzing and just do a poor job at doing any of the things you do. Your channel is so unique and I think speaks to the audience that truly LOVES comic books and the content that writers spent time working on that the audience neglected to ponder. I do not think your channel caters to the weak of mind with pointless episodes like "these comics said this this week" and "oh, you don't know spiderman or batman, let me give their back stories". Your videos are truly just very well put together and you speak with a type of elegance/intelligence that most channels do not. You are dope. Keep doing you.

I think cloak is basically there for plot convenience now. leave his powers vaguely defined so that he can show up as a deus ex machina for an event or as a friend for characters like wolverine who aren't powerful enough or don't have the proper skills to deal with a threat the author created.

I came here by accident, I'm not a comics expert, but I grew up in the middle of Europe and I'm familiar with Slavic mythology - so this Charnobog (in our language it's the Black God "Czarno-bog") is generally a bit of an Anubis version, responsible for entropy and abyss. It may not have that overtone in the universes, but I think it may be useful to someone interested.

I learned one heck of a lot. Thanks, Drake! I never knew about any Darkforce or Lightforce energies or dimensions. This is one of the coolest concepts of light and dark. Like you said for them causing a "Yin Yang effect" feeding off each other, does it harm both or benefit both? And thanks for giving out the info, Drake!

She could teleport over interstellar distances and inter-dimensionally. She could change the molecular structure of things. In one issue, she turned someone's thoughts into light waves and then used the information to teleport them both to a location she'd never been thousands of miles away. Starshine was a powerhouse.

My hypothesis (theories require evidence) is that the Darkforce represents one of the Marvel Universe's aspects/ideas of death; specifically, the hopelessness and despair one could find in it. The "true darkness" that humans, and I suppose other living beings too, instinctually fear. The reason its use creates gateways to it is also linked to its tendency to instill madness: you open yourself up to that despair, and are thus more susceptible to self-destructive thoughts and behaviours. The Lightforce being positioned as its counterpart is thus the opposite. A power containing of the raw beauty and majesty of being alive. It is something inherently created by the concept of living, and thus has no true dimension to draw from, but instead manifests from things like thrill, companionship, or a hearty meal. Just like how there is always big things to feel bad about, the sheer quantity of little things to feel good about is enough to balance it out theoretically, except most of them are so small and disconnected they're rarely noticed. But sometimes, tiny slivers of light are just enough to stave off the darkness, at least for a little while.

Nothing bad ever happens when you work with something called Darkforce.

Pretty sure it'll get expanded on once it becomes relevant to at least a B-list character.
