Here are the final bosses in the Marvel vs. Capcom game series so far: Magneto (X-Men: Children of the Atom), Thanos (Marvel Super Heroes), Apocalypse (X-Men vs. Street Fighter), Cyber-Akuma (a.k.a. Mecha-Gouki) (Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter), Onslaught (Marvel vs. Capcom), Abyss (Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes) and Galactus (Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds). For the next Marvel vs. Capcom game, there are several possibilities that I have narrowed down for the newest final boss: Loki (whose appearances have spanned several movies and recent animated cartoon shows, giving him the status of well-known and very cunning villain), Red Skull (the most truly evil villain in the Marvel Universe), Pyron (a universal threat and the final boss of Capcom Fighting Evolution) and Sigma (a robot infamous for his ability to survive and the longest lasting villain in the Capcom franchise)

i love when how when he sees you the first thing he does is to create random clones of some character and then he teleports behind the planet. while you fight, you can see him in the background trying to devour the world, then you defeat the clones and he teleports himself back to the rock cliff to finish you

Damn! They made the final boss nearly impossible to beat him. Awesomeness to the level of 10.

On ultimate marvel vs capcom 3, you can play as him. Get 3000 on your player score card (press R1 or RB toso your card) (get points from arcade mode training etc) then when you highlight arcade mode, hold R1+select+x and xbox hold RB+back+A

EARTH DESTRUCTION. The fact that the game flat-out tells you that the fate of the entire world is riding on this battle just adds to the epicness of it all. It actually reminds me a little of the Power Stone 2 boss battles, if anyone here still remembers those games.

@151329 I don't know about the needing specific matchups to beat him, but you actually have to go in knowing what to do, that's for certain. Spam will only get you so far (it only really works against the heralds).

@Zerokola1 I know but I said NOW I'm hearing March 1st like when the new dlc was officially announced to have stuff like a new game mode they said march 1st and that was just announced yest until yesterday everything said march 15th, exactly a month later so I was saying that it may have changed last minute but the main point I was saying is yea you cant redeem the code till the day it comes out

@gigawingbolt well..i also saw that stream,and if i remeber correctly the guy didn't block this beam super:he only avoided it by super jumping far away from galactus before he does it.Also,there's a leaked magazine that says that this 185 hit move is unblockable..and as you can see in the video, the attack hits from front and from behind,which prevents the blocking.The same happens with morrigan's astral vision:you'll get hit by it once morrigan attacks you from both sides.

Wow, this is absolutely incredible, to think they put Galactus as the final boss........the world devourer......this is just perfect. Apocalypse....Onslaught, the slimey dude from mvc2 and now GALACTUS

@wardog3d Round 1 is Galactus creating Heralds from Wesker, Akuma, Dr. Doom and Dormammu (you fight one from each side at the same time) and defeating them. Round 2 is Galactus himself, with whoever you still have alive and whatever health you have left from Round 1.

@TrollDemon Another good candidate could be the world ender Omegex, but the main problem with him is that he's not going to be formally introduced until Hulk 33. Maybe in Marvel vs Capcom 4?

My thought on Galactus in this game (other than that its awesome) is that finally there's a final boss in a fighting game that is a challenge yet not impossible to beat. I can beat him without using the same move like Shao Khan in Mortal Kombat. And I love the Galactus theme so that makes it more full of win.

This Boss is just absolutely KICK ASS and beyond the limits of AWESOME! everyone, take notes: THIS is the way Galactus should be portrayed. THIS is what a final boss should be like.

@Caperonious 1 problem, Street Fighter was originally a comic back in the 1970's and it featured the Hadoken so in that regard, Hadoken came first.

@DragonDrummer8 correction: the only survivor of the planet before eart, who now has power cosmic itself, power as strong (or stronger ) as the gods the ability to consume planets. now that makes him epic.

I have. For first form, simply jump over him when he does an attack, and he will never touch u (unless he does his special). Second form, spam projectiles. 3rd form, rush him and predict his moves (there are times where he just stands there doing nothing).

@mrdarq That just means where he is. In normal fights if you superjump it shows where the other player is located on the screen with either a P1 or P2. Don't get any ideas on him being playable because im pretty he isn't .

and so the tradition of massive-sized bosses in the versus series continues...

@1DarkMasK1 Phoenix only defeated Galactus in a different universe you are right, but it is basically non cannon, and according to some of the threads I read which a few actually have sources at full strength his power is near, I think it said Eternity, don't exactly qoute me on that, but Galactus while in Mephisto's realm, actually absorbed the realm itself and there was nothing Mephisto could do, look this up I can't remember which vs. page I went to but google should find it easily.

@12Marxzero34 You just have to be alert when he goes at the back of the stage try to be "at least in the center of the stage" or at the left corner, when you see him flashing do the high jump, you see he does like 3 sets of lazer beams so if you do what I told you just 1 set of lazers will hit you and it will not hurt you "much" like the 3 sets at the same time, also try to do advance guard when doing that and you can avoid it.

@norrin22 same here, well they couldve had him alone if there was no 3 on 3 w/the villains before him I guess but I do agree that the being silver part seems stupid hopefully theres some reasoning to it like they somehow gained that power or something and have some abilities that the playable versions dont have like cosmic blasts

Galactus's voice reminds me of James Earl Jones (Mufasa from The Lion King and Darth Vader from Star Wars)

@rugal14 Well the Idea of getting a bunch of characters and fighting each other. Another thing is adding there way of fighting into the game. If you look at captain America and Captain Falcon they are in the exact stance, run just like each other, and the fighter stance is exactly the same. Characters like Jin saotome you never see him get out of his machine and fight in his game, but they improvised on the way he fights on the game, Same thing with Fox on smash bros.

@1DarkMasK1 I actually have that comic issue 6 right (never read because I got it very very recently)? Also let's agree to Disagree, but he didn't pwn eternity he did fight him though, if you give me 2 days I can tell you how it went.

I wish UMvsC3 had an offline mode kinda like survive where you keep fighting until you loss gaining back you're health after each round either that or I wish the Arcade mode was longer than 6 simple fights before you fight an overkill boss. You hardly get enough time to really enjoy the fighting. I kinda feel there was a lot the developers overlooked when making this game and it could have been a whole lot better, not just characters but gameplay as well

I find the Idea of fighting 2 boss enemies at once AND THEN having to take on Galactus within the same time limit to be ridiculous. This will surely be one of the hardest bosses of any fighter in recent memory.

@cmorenor89 Not always. He's rarely "defeated", just slowed or diverted. In one of the official Marvel/DC crossovers, Galactus fought Darkseid over Apokolyps and (eventually after a long and brutal battle) won. Then he discovered that Apokolyps had no life energy, and asked Darkseid why he fought so hard for a lifeless planet. Darkseid's response: "It's MY planet."

HOLY BAWLS, Silver Wesker, Silver Doon, Silver Dormammu, Silver Akuma AND Galactus?!? THAT is a truly terrifying matchup.

His fighting method looks very similar to the hands from super smash brothers :P

I really should search up how to unlock galactus etc on google :P plus if you look in your prfile were it shows the amount of times you played as someone, it shows galactus as a playable character

@NexusARC I know what you mean when Galactus was eating mephistos realm but still mephisto isnt that string as dormammu. As I know about dormammus power level is that in his own realm his power is pretty much clesestial or at least virtualy celestial while outside his power is that of a skyfather, thanos etc... but that still depends on writters who tend to change the mind about everything. Maybe Galactus is stronger now then he was before and gain new powers or whatever.

@Saturnwalker Wrong. The 185 hits movie IS blockable actually. The players in that trailer just didn't block in order to show the crazy combos from Galactus. I've seen the full fight being leaked and the guy not only blcks most of them, but also empties Galactus life bar. The tricky thing is the fact that after being defeated, Glactus is going to use the "Earth" movie. That's the only unblockable movie so far and it kills the character no matter if you're full at life bar.

Aside from missing Captain Commando (he was my number 1 pick) I like the new roster and its very evenly balanced but still, I kinda dislike how its heavily based for online play since half the time I'm playing this game, I'm in a spot where I don't have internet connection.

Props for making Galactus the last boss!!! Really makes sense. :)
