Welcome to the second game of my informal Marvel Zombies campaign. This time we are moving away from the besieged Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and over to the embattled streets of New York in the first mission from Marvel Zombies: Heroes' Resistance.
Heroes' Resistance is a smaller retail version of the main Marvel Zombies board game by CMON and Guillotine Games. Based on the Zombicide rules, it is essentially the same game, but with fewer tiles and miniatures. The game comes with cardboard standees instead. But that won't bother us, because we are replacing those standees with zombies from Zombicide, bystanders from Marvel Zombies, and the hero models are being replaced by Knight Models miniatures from the Marvel Universe Miniatures Game.
This introductory mission, labeled M0 Tutorial: The Beginning, sees a team of superheroes consisting of Black Panther, The Hulk, Spider-Man and Vision investigating early reports of an infectious outbreak. Why are we in charge of this? Well, for some reason they aren't picking up the phone over at Avengers Headquarters.
