This show is sooooo well written. The characters are extremely well drawn and the dialogue is pure heaven. And what a cast: they're all brilliant (and the costumes and the sets...)!

Fabulous cast. All great performances. Maisel’s manager Susie plays her part with a masked pathos yet great heroic resolve and integrity. I don’t remember such a character coming along like this in a long time. Rachael Brosnahan has already made it as a star on all fronts as far as I see it. The character of Lenny Bruce blows me away and the one episode of the character who portrayed the artist Declan Howell seemed so authentic of the period. I am enthralled at the turn these types of performances are contributing to streaming and the film industry. Echoes of the productions of Billy Wilder way back when. Thank you.

One of the reasons that I love this show is the overall excellence of the show. The writing is fantastic. The actors take those words and make them LIVE. Then, the cinematography, makeup, hair, wardrobe, and the locations make it look like a VERY expensive movie. But, the entire series depends, totally, on Rachel. Rachel is so funny you can totally believe that she is a natural standup comic. When she says that, in real life, she wouldn't have the nerve to get on stage...that's the only time that you can't believe her. Of course, Tony Shaloub is a gem, Kevin Pollak is fantastic, and Alex Borstein is incredible. My favorite, is Marin Hinkle, who used to play in "Two and a Half Men" as Midge's mom. She is so very good, in an understated and hilarious way. Michael Zegen, as the jerk ex husband, is amazingly believable. Of course, how can anyone forget the insanely talented Zachary Levi as the ex fiance. He has developed into my favorite leading man/character actor. But, none of this would be happening except for the writing. Wow, the writing just lifts this to another dimension. Excellence is not a word that you use often in describing tv shows, but that's the only word I can think of to describe this show. Bravo.

Amazing show. So weird to see the actors out of character. Think the most different is Rose! She is so laid out back and extroverted in real life. And did not know he put on an accent for the show. Fantastic acting from all of them. And is just be or is Midge(Rachel) a bit shy in real life. Great interviewing by Hoda

I just watched the first 2 seasons while recuperating from being extremely sick and in the hospital. spent another 3 weeks at home.. looked for something on Prime... remembered hearing this show is good. WOW. It had me at hello.

I was just hoping Susie was funny like she is in the show, I am so relieved she is

I love this show, except for one itty bitty thing that bothers me. Either get rid of the kids or write them into the show. They seem like such an after thought for the writers. It seems like the only time they got any attention is when Susie stayed at the house. It is an uncomfortable part of the families life, it seems, trying to make sure the can find a babysitter. So I say either bring them into the show 100% or stop writing them into episodes. I don’t think too many people will notice if they don’t show up again.

How have I never seen any comment anywhere on how Tony's character was the only one who didn't mistake Susie to be a man?

I didn't like Marin's character in 2 and half men but man I love her in Mrs Maisel.
