He invented the "neo" (if people are still using that term) sound. He was immersed in his music. His life's story is kinda sad. So much so that I kinda hope that no one else has to endure what he did in order to be able to make music like he did.

Marvin was a musical god and when he sings all his heart out saying “let me love you”, “I’d like to love you right now”, “I’d like to make love to you baby right now”, it gives me tears of joy and sadness feeling his pain and describing some of our most concealed feelings. Also I would have liked him to sing these mystical lyrics to me and to “funk me right now, right here, anywhere” ☺️
