Ram Sharan Sharma was a hardcore Communist ideologue, who wrote 115 books in both Hindi and English filled with half-truths, open falsehoods, sweeping generalisations and slander regarding almost all aspects of Hindu Dharma, civilisation, society and culture.
Like Romila Thapar, R.S. Sharma harbours an inveterate hatred for Sanatana Dharma. His special target for slander is the Brahmin community. A lot of his writing about Brahmins can be defined as abuse and obscenity.
Ram Sharan Sharma was also part of the Congress Government's community tasked with investigating the historical truth of the Ramajanmabhoomi and the Ram Sethu. His conduct and writing in these two episodes is appalling to say the least.
With concrete evidence drawn from his own body of literature, this episode
shows how Ram Sharan Sharma emerges as one of the staunchest defenders of the most bigoted and savage Islamic invaders like Timur. He likewise whitewashes Bhaktihyar Khalji's heartless destruction of the Nalanda University.

Thanks! For a very long time, was waiting for the day for someone to unmask the cruel intention of Romila Thapar, RS Sharma a person who had disputed Ram Temple. Waiting for the day when Ramachandra Guha will be roasted. Marxist Liars made us study that meaning of Bindusara means Father of Great Son and Son of Great Father, just to glorify Asoka, the king who fought only one war. When I grew up I came to know that actual meaning of Bindusara was "Born out out of blood drops". Finally great fan of Sandeep Balakrishna Sir, hope he gets Padma awards soon.

Sandeep beautifully points out that a lot of history, literature is: 1. Communal 2. Imperialist 3. Poetic imagination 4. Partisan. He convinced me that we need to relook at history. But Marxists are the worst people to do this. Sandeep ji has beautifully painted RS Sharma as a Marxist.

I'm a PhD NET history. Never studied Harishchandra Verma or Satish Chandra(Du, jnu essentials books)or NCERT series. Yes, did NET without them very well. Just a couple of months ago I started reading the aforesaid books. I belong to a very liberal background, never entertained right or left wing thinking process. But just like a curious student of history, i found these books highly controversial and not fit to study by the College students. Hindus are openly or indirectly criticized for everything they do, particularly Brahmins and Kshatriyas. Level of whitewashing mohammedan rulers in every other line, making superficial statements, no direct footnotes or names of reference...everything so dubious and to the point of scholarly debauchery. They even plagiarized from the books edited by R.C.Majumdar without reference and actually distorted the paragraphs according to their own fake propaganda. Language in hindi books is so trashy and statements are made unnecessarily long and left unclear and without conclusions, seemingly to misguide the students. I can't finish a single para or line without raising my BP in anger. How many generations they lied to and misdirected. 🙏🙏

I really appreciate the way you are reviewing and analysing the works and ideology of these people, who dominated the academic institutions of our country for so long. At the same time, I feel sad that the present dispensation hasn't focused on this issue in a meaningful way and has not done anything towards correcting the distorted narrative. Interestingly all these Marxist historians, Romila Thapar, RS Sharma and VS Pathak were students of Arthur Llewellyn Basham who was historian and Indologist and a Professor at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London.

A little information about the family background of r s sharma would have been helpful in understanding his anti hindu bias. I used to puzzle about a particular line being followed by karan thapar and romila thapar in journalism and history ,until I learned about their family background and everything fell in line.
