I found this page by simply doing a Google Search using "whatever happened to Mary Chapin Carpenter?" I have most of her old CDs and have always loved her lyrics, perspective, and voice. This is a beautiful song, beautifully delivered. I'm going to try to stay in touch with her and her music much like I keep in touch with John Fogerty and his music and that is via KZfaq. Thank the lucky stars for KZfaq, ya know? As an aside, wouldn't a pairing of Mary Chapin Carpenter and John Fogerty on an album(or even just a song or two) sound great?

Mary Chapin is one of the best songwriters of her generation.As another songwriter I ascribe to two women. Joni Mitchel and Mary Chapin Carpenter. They are genius in spinning a story, taking you on a stroll, in a break up, in a lonely place..storms and rain and all things movement. They are beyond what most of us can birth.....This song is haunting and I thank her so much for writing it.
