I've grown up in SE Australia. The North, I find interesting, but looking at that huge car/ caravan park ensures I'll never visit. Silence and solitude are my pleasures, I can find them in the mountains. Thanks for the video Laurie. Information is a gift. 😀🇦🇺

There's plenty of room to get away from everyone in that camp ground. It's not hard to find somewhere to pull over and camp for the night without company up there. Apart from driving over the Southern Alps in 2004 and 1977, I've never really explored the mountain areas. It's a bloody big country, and I tended to find myself running around outback Queensland in many of my trips. Mind you, plenty of mountains down the East Coast. It's not something we have a lot of in the West, and those are only tiddlers LOL.

We stopped there in 1998, it seems to have changed a lot since then. I don't remember any facilities at all back then. I remember cattle wandering through the campsite. Bloody hell there were a lot of people there in this video! Sort of glad we did our touring before places got that busy.
