Mary Poppins is a children's film, which left good memories in Generation X, especially children. Perhaps that made the little ones feel affection and love for each of the characters in this children's movie. Thank you for giving information about the lives of the actors in this movie. Blessings.

FACT: Dick Van Dyke also played the Bank Manager in the original Mary Poppins movie. He also did a cameo as the son of said character (also the villain's uncle) in the new movie.

I probably rented m Mary Poppins at least 1000 times growing up. Bought it for my kids and watched it over and over. I recently watched it w my granddaughter and was sad to realize that the sweet nanny had been replaced w a gaslighting narcissist 😄Geez Mary Poppins you were a real jerk! I love Julia Andrews in everything she plays in. ❤

Has anybody noticed it seems to be the lean relatively clean living actors that live the longest there were so many Buddy Ebson and Jimmy Stewart come to mind even Clint Eastward has been kind of lean most of his life there's a pattern developing here folks, I'm not just imagining it, of course there were exceptions take British actor Robert Morly for example but the general rule seems to be if you want to stick around for a long time stay lean,

Julie Andrews isn't the only one from this movie still alive. Glynis Johns, who played Mrs. Banks is still alive at 99, Dick Van Dyke who played both Bert and Mr. Dawes, Sr. is still alive at 96 and Karen Dotrice, who played Jane Banks is still alive at 67.
