@@Run4Ever77 Thanks for your question, but I have to point out that it is an erroneous one because you assume it's an either/or situation. In reality, it's a both/and situation. Devotion to Mary doesn't take away from devotion to God or worshiping him (and him alone). It enhances our love for God. Mary isn't a competitor (belief that it's either/or) as she always points us to her Son, Jesus. Thinking devotion to Mary takes away or draws us away from God is like saying studying the Bible or devotion to the Scriptures draws you away from God. There are tons of Protestant churches and colleges like such-and-such Bible Church or such-and-such Bible College. Honouring the Bible doesn't take you away from God, but rather enhances and grows your love for him. It draws you closer. We are all called to be more like Jesus. And Jesus loved and honoured his Mother, so we do the same.

We cannot be good on our own power we can't go to heaven on our own power, we can't turn from our sin on our own power and earn favor with God, we must ask him to forgive us and save us cuz there's nothing we can do on our own to earn favor with him. We know from the book of Acts they observed the Sabbath, and then met together and "shared bread", i.e., the Eucharist. The first Council of the Church is recorded in Acts, as the Apostles wrestled with how to handle the incoming Gentiles. Do we circumcise them, teach them all the other laws and then tell them about the Christ? It's recorded that by their own authority, the Apostles decided not to enforce those laws on people who were not already following them. Within a few decades, when it became clear this wasn't just a Jewish sect, or denomination, it began to shift from the old Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday. The intent of a day of rest, dedicated to the Lord held. By the time converts were almost exclusively from the gentiles, it was the normal occurrence. Besides, if you're going to strain gnats about *which is the day of rest, then you'll have to go back and reinstitute all the other Levitical laws that were dropped along the way, like keeping Kosher, blood sacrifices, Passover, and the re-establishment of Temple worship. That leads to the denial of Christ's fulfillment of Scripture, and death on the Cross. I left Campbellism behind to become Catholic, led there by study of Scripture. I don't intend to backtrack. There’s no harm in praying the Rosary. You don’t have to be a Catholic to do so. My late mother prayed the Rosary with me and my sibling until her health took a turn for the worse. The Rosary gives people a lot of graces. I always feel better after having prayed it.
