I really love what you are doing. I wish so much I had been told about Perimenopause, and had someone to guide me like this over the last decade. It does get a lot better with self-care.

Went to my gyn today after suffering all of the symptoms for quite a while. I have all! At first, my doctor wanted to give me antidepressants and birth control and I used the knowledge I’ve learned from you and she agreed and prescribed estradiol and progesterone! Thank you!!!

what should I do? Menopause hit me like a ton of bricks at age 48, threw my thyroid out of balance for a whole year (hashimotos), gained a ton of unwanted weight really fast, at the same time discovered I have metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, pre-diabetes. I'VE NEVER BEEN MORE SICK IN MY LIFE! It's been going on for 3 years. I am on HRT, metformin, statin & synthroid. Healthy diet, intermittent fasting & exercise are helping some of the symptoms, but NOT enough to lose ANY weight or ANY of this belly! So what should I do? Just more healthy eating & exercise?

If not you, then who girl?! Thank you so much for going above and beyond with education and then getting the word out through your book and these awesome videos. I have suffered for years with most all the symptoms of Menopause and got dicked around (sorry for lack of a better word) with SO much conflicting information. When I tried to research for myself and talk to my doctor about it, she said, "That damn Dr. Google". Highly insulting and humiliating to say the least . Broke down in tears in her office and never went back. I found an obgyn who would prescribe Estrodiol 0.05 for me and my world has been much better. But now with an appointment coming up, I am afraid she will want to take me off it. I am going to be 63 soon. I say, out of my cold, dead hands first!! What do you say about woman staying on it for the long term? BTW I just bought your book and am adopting many of the food changes and supplements you speak of. ❤❤❤ Thank you for advocating for us!!

Dear Dr. Haver: I am very upset that I have been passed over all the years that I could have been on HRT and was dismissed by 4 different GYNs over the last 25 years. Now that menopause is finally getting some attention, I want to know why women over 65 are not recommended to have it. I saw your video explaining how hormones no longer being produced create the weight gain and other body changes that we dont want, how can food replace the hormones? I already eat right and do IF. No good results. Why cant I have the hormones that I lost to protect my bones, heart and brain??

I went to my doctor's office with your book and my doctor told me that I shouldn't be listening or reading this because it is not real and if it wasn't how is it that I have a book about women with menopause I really want to change doctors but where I live there's not very many of the available and I'm old incense I have turned 57 years old I just can't stop crying it is a nightmare I am so tired of being in the word meno pause. And I started at 46 years old you would think by now it should be over I have tried everything and now I'm a diabetic this is just a nightmare one thing after another and I'm going to have another conversation on getting on HRT and I don't even know if I'm going to get it I'll keep you posted I cannot believe my A1C is 83 it's unbelievable I think it's just making me to become depressed with all this diabetic and menopause.

Could someone tell me if Dr talks about starting on estrogen before you are in actual menopause? I cannot sleep and get days of horrible depression but i still have irregular periods and my doctors tell me i have to wait till i stop menstruating. My friend in Europe is still menstruating but has also been taking estrogen and it's really helped her not to go mad.

Dr. Haver, I’m excited to try the Galveston diet and have purchased the book. It looks like a ketogenic type of diet, which I’m not sure I can do. Can you clarify if this diet puts us in ketosis? Hello Dr. M. I'm 62 and just started the estradiol patch 0.05. Is it normal for your breast and nipples to be sore? I stopped the custom made HRT. And learned from you it doesn't help anyway. Explains alot..Thank you for you sharing your knowledge.

Please answer. I follow you and have ordered your book but it has not arrived yet. I don’t know what else to do so please please answer. I go to my doctor on Monday to request HRT. I still have a uterus but don’t want to take a progesterone pill or wear a patch. Is IUD or vaginal cream the only options available? I would rather just rub progesterone on my arm like the oestrogen but did you say this option did not help to reduce the possibility of uterine cancer? Thanks.

I just found this dr a few days ago and have been binge watching/listening. Love her content! One thing I don’t like however and it breaks my heart this is the world we live in now, ‘people’ as opposed to WOMEN. Idk how much more I’ll be able to listen to sadly as it’s so incredibly obnoxious much more than the swear words which I don’t love either. But that ‘people’ jazz is unbearable. 😪
@Janevelyn
@Janevelyn 7 ай бұрын
And I promptly bought the book it came at 7a this morning I’ve been thumbing through it and can’t wait for the deep dive. But I do hope not to encounter‘people’ often. At least the part iii shouldn’t be a trigger being mostly shopping lists and recipes.

Is a D&C necessary when I presented with bad peri menopause symptoms. I know I have two small fibroids. My pap is normal. No HPV. The uterine biopsy could not be performed in the doctor office as my cervix was narrow. Doctor suggested under general anesthesia for a D&C with scraping. Is is necessary if no other problems, and I am now 3 months without a period. I am 55 1/2. I was just trying to explain to the doctor that I had heavier and irregular periods for the past year and it turned into ultrasound and now scheduling this D&C. Just asking before I actually do it.
@felrau1
@felrau1 Жыл бұрын
I have no medical background but will say I had polyps and heavy periods about 7 years ago had a D&C and things were much better after. Just discovered I now have a "Giant" polyp and am scheduled for another D&C on June 6. I look forward to it simply because I remember how much it helped last time. Hoping this is the last one, I am 52. They think this last polyp is a side effect of being on Tamoxifen for 5 years (after having breast cancer)

LOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEEDDDDDDD the comment about if men’s testicles didn’t work anymore it’s b a national effing emergency!! 🤣😂🤣😂Also, when u talk about multivitamins-I’m a busy hairstylist n I take nutritional lunches/dinners w/me but there’s a lot of days where I don’t have time to sit down n eat them, as I’m sure u do as a busy dr. I’ve actually eaten my lunch while peeing 😒yes, at that point I’m inhaling most of my lunch. So wouldn’t a multivitamin b advised for those of us , tho trying, don’t get enough nutrients. Can’t THANK YOU ENOUGH for all of yr work and dedication to menopause information🫶🏼
