I am 50, lost both parents back to back, lost my dog, moved to a new state. I gained 30lbs and feel absolutely miserable! So much pain every night, it’s hard to sleep. I do appreciate this information. I’m on HrT now but I really need to focus on my diet and lifting weights. I’m so happy Doctors are finally taking notice of our age group. I have felt so lost 😢

This is the part of menopause that truly scares me. Thank you for creating a list of actionable steps for us to work toward a better possible future rather than just letting age take over! ❤ For dedicating so much time and care to us all

I had a full hysterectomy at 42. Went on HRT immediately… I’m 62 still on ALL HRT’s and 🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️!! I feel & look great!!! Super video thank you

I asked for a Dexa more than once. Told no, despite an ankle Fx. Im a thin white dairy free female w family h/o Osteo. Finally got one years later, a result which got overlooked for a year. My T-scores: 4.8! Saw endo bone specialist-not offered HRT. I’d asked many docs about HRT and told no due to a sister w clots, but no one offered genetic testing or patches.

I am 50, and can’t go from a sitting to standing position without pain, standing for a few minutes and shuffling. I went from 114 to 130 in a month. Got worked up for heart failure, and was changed off a Amyloidosis medication. No one said anything! I started to run my own test through labs. FSH and LH show post menopausal levels. I have been systematic for years! I even had a seizure and went into cardiac arrest with CPR last year. They could not find anything wrong! Few weeks ago I had abdominal ultrasound to see why I was so bloated. I found out that I have fatty liver, pancreas’s, and something wrong with gallbladder. Visceral fat I am sure! So thankful that I came across Dr. Haver’s video. Found a doctor that started HRT. Now this video…. Validation. Thank you!

I am 52, had a total hysterectomy at 44, instantly in menopause....,I struggled for years but scared to take Estrogen due to being told it increased chance of breast cancer! 3 years ago following Docs on KZfaq said get a bone scan because of high risk from not taking Estrogen and sure enough I was -2.5 on the T factor scale 😢... I was Diagnosed with Osteoporosis and had No Idea!! It is an epidemic!! I am on an Estrogen patch now but wished I had started at 44!!!

Omg! I have to thank you Doctors very much, for taking the time to inform us about your findings, it helps us to understand a lot of what our bodies feel, and not knowing what it could be, God Bless you ❤

I am really appreciative of all of the info you are putting out into the world for us Dr. Haver, thank you! I am peri-m and have been taking 300mg Prometrium for two years. I just had my bloodwork done and my estrogen is 4008 pmol/L which is very high. My doctor wasn't even going to mention it, saying my bloodwork looked good. I pointed it out and she said it is likely high because of the progesterone I am taking. Without you, I would have accepted that at face value. But, I haven't heard you or any other expert, say that the body will make more estrogen in response to taking progesterone. What I have heard is that estrogen can become dominant when unopposed by progesterone. And, that there are risks associated with high estrogen. So, I am going elsewhere for advice. Thank you for empowering me with knowledge to self-advocate. I am determined to get real answers.

Amazing discussion! I always had my hormones on a roller-coaster since my menarh, felt great on the pill until I got off and got pregnant with my first child, exact 1 month after stopping the CP. After the birth of my child stated progesterone, didn't work very well, so I opted for Mirena, again felt great, 1.5 years ago removed the IUD as wanting the second child... and oh my God the symptoms, a true night mare, GI symptoms are huge, PMS symptoms that I never experianced before, lower AB pain, sensitivity to food...so strange... Now I'm wandering isn't it perimenopause?! Crazy... My Mom got into Menopause at ~47 and now she is 64, and she is in pain big time... Was never on HRT... And nobody can help her.. She cannot sleep well, her muscle hurt, there is some osteoporosis... Gosh, women shouldn't decline like this. It infuriates me when some are saying you can fix everything with lifestyle... That's a lie... I exercised and eat healthy since I remember and only that doesn't help!!!

I had the same thing at 48 and I was put on birth control, anxiety given anxiety meds, heart palpitations, saw a heart dr, my knees starting hurting and my feet, went to orthopedic surgeon, and a podiatrist telling me I had arthritis. Next came hot flashes about a year later I was told to come off birth control, to see if I was menopausal. This dr said I was but still having a period! Needless to say she told me NO on HRT, she wanted to put me back on birth control. I had to go through 10 doctors before I got it and I have to tell the doctor what I wanted including amounts!

I'm so grateful that KZfaq's algorithm suggested your videos! Not sure how the algorithm "knew" that I might be peri-menopausal, but I'm not complaining. I've lost too many family members to heart conditions, and on my mom's side there's a strong incidence of RA. I will not be like them!! Taking all of this advice to my next ObGyn visit. :)

Thank you so much for this informative talk! This is everything that’s going on with me. High inflammation, horrible sleep, unstoppable weight gain, & my whole body aches. I finally got on estrogen therapy but I’m still trying to find the answers to feeling better! I’m so tired of being told that this is a normal progression at age 51!!
