This was the era that spoke to my style the most..and has left a lasting impression on my style today. Along with the music, coffee culture etc…I have not kept up with the trends over time and I will probably forever remain stuck with this style.

as a petite girl, i also find their style refreshing. i’ve always hated feeling like i “need” to dress to accentuate my curves, and embracing my height by letting myself wear elongated loose and flowy clothes gives off this otherworldly, powerful look.

If i could raid anyone's closets it would be theirs. Some of my favorite bags theyve carried is Ashley's vintage black croc Fendi tote. Fendi ended up releasing it calling it the "twin" tote and MK's tie dye miu miu clutch. Overall I like their modest oversized discreet style with a touch of statement vintage pieces.

The Olsen’s style is so unique to them. Most of their looks from the early 2010s still looks like something they would wear today. I also love that the MK and Ashley Olsen really created The Row according to their style. It makes me believe that they really stand behind their brand instead of just having a brand as cash grabs that they don’t wear. (Cash grabs* quoted loosely 😅)

ugh regarding that whole "flattering" thing - i dislike the obsession with typing bodies (kibbe, etc), or "color seasons" and whatever else people have invented. dressing based on some arbitrary system of rules + paired with being "trendy" is like the opposite of being truly stylish imo. i totally agree with you, the cool thing about the olsen sisters' style is that they seem to dress for themselves.

Yes! I'm so happy you're talking about this era of their style because its what made me fall in love with their style. I always say they're my style influences but i don't mean what they wear today i mean their style from the 2010 era. Their style was just top elite in my opinion it looked worn in and chic and everyday and not luxury homeless like what they wear today and i just love it

Great video Mary. The mesh bag with the circular handle… it is an Olga Berg brand? I know what you mean regarding The Row’s handbag quality. I recently purchased the NuTwin in desert, suede. It is so luxurious. The interior is so so soft and amazing leather quality. I am just as careful if not more of the inside than the outside being suede. And at $2,600 (tax incl) Canadian, there are no designer bags at that price point and quality. It is beautiful as a clutch or crossbody. Just their quality is amazing. Also, the ballerina flats are amazing and so comfortable. The quality is through the roof, seriously. I am retired, and The Row style is perfect. Again, love your videos.

I think MK&A are trying to figure out their styles during this time. It was during this time, they are grown up and in control of their own company and they want to separate their youth, since they did grew up on camera.
