So sometimes I think this part is the most fun, reviving these old relics is as much a blast as shooting them, pun intended. It wasn’t easy, it was a challenge bringing back something that sat in a goat barn for 20 years or so, now the search for ammo begins. Any help would be most appreciated! 👋

Thanks, still working out a load for it, got some keyholes I’m not thrilled about but I am hand rolling them, gotta get a handle on that 1-12 twist.

Just got one yesterday from RTI almost identical in every way on first examining. Stock is tight but that may be dirt like yours. I bought from RTI and it shipped FedEx and it's here in my hands 4 days after initial order. No need to play the lottery. Luck already used up!

Let me know how it works out when you get it all cleaned up. I am still working through getting it to shoot right, working on load development and so far can’t get a handle in that 1/12 twist rate.

Barrel is excellent underneath a lot of crud now removed.

@@brucewillis6347 I bought some of the vintage French 7.5 ammo. It performed thusly: click......pause.....boom! Bought Some 7.5 empty cases and reloaded with 150 grain 308. Also with cci 34 primers. Worked perfectly and acceptably accurately. Throws empty cases into the next county lol. I'm very pleased with my RTI purchase.

Looks pretty good , I have never bought from RTI , to me it is to iffy on what I would get . I myself have the MAS 36 , M16 Berthier Carbine & 1907-15 Berthier rifle . The Berthiers I have not shot yet , need the 3 & 5 round clips

I just scored a Berthier 1907/15 from empire, matching numbers and mirror bright bore, comes in this Friday, excited to do an unboxing on that one. Going to hit up SG ammo for some lebel. 8x50.

How did the bore turn out? Was it pitted?

It was very dark but well pronounced rifling, some pitting but it should shoot ok. Need to heat up the barrel and do some cleaning while hot.

I think epoxy might fix that stock ?

Maybe, it’s weird how it ties into the receiver, I think I might shorten the post and see if that tightens it up.

@@milsurpmagazine9515 I think firing it while it is that loose will only crack the stock or do more damage . I don't know for sure how the stock fits to the receiver but from what you explained it seems to need to be bedded to the receiver .

@@jamespollard1670 I fixed the wiggle, my suspicion was the bottom of the receiver was bottoming out on the post that the screws screw into so I took it out and ground it down about an 8th inch and put it back together and it tightened right up.
