In this video I am talking about masculine and feminine energy. We all have a balance of masculine and feminine energy, but a healthy relationship requires the right balance. Thank you all for watching and let me know in the comments what you think about masculine and feminine energy.

I think it’s good to have a mix of both energies. Roles can switch as well. Case in point my grandparents. Got married shortly after WW2. My grandfather was the breadwinner while my grandmother took care of the house and the children. Shortly after my grandfather retired, my grandmother got a job in corporate America while my grandfather took care of the house. They were happily married for 63 years.

Hi Courtney, I can’t believe how much wisdom you have for someone so young. You remind me of my brother when we were in our 20’s, I always thought he was from the past and had traveled through time because of how much life wisdom he had and I was so inexperienced about life. I am older now and you are so on point about so many things. Thank you for all the help you are giving especially the younger generation.

Courtney Ryan A big mistake I see women make is they blame the men for their failings in relationships instead of checking to see if the way they act is respectable. I always have had men be nice to me because I’m nice to them and as a young woman I’m pretty logical in how I act so I connect to men more. I think a huge problem with modern women is they never have been told they are doing wrong or have been humble enough to look in the mirror and work on themselves and their ego is inflated. I think you should have a healthy view of how you see yourself and not thinking you are flawless.

Finding the balance between masculine and feminine traits is always helpful. Loved that you're getting that message out there. "Hard" values like the masculine traits listed here are always better when tempered with "softer" values like the feminie side. Likewise the feminie traits are strengthened by the masculine.

Well... women a lot of times had to put up with a lot of bad things in their marriage, and a lot of times they were not even listened to since it was the men to hold the "power" in the relationship. Fortunately things impoved for women A LOT in the last 50 years but please don't think that women were more feminine back in the days, they couldn't just be anything else. I understand where you come from, I am a woman and I don't like nowadays women, I don't like how they easily blame everthing on men, and I don't like how they treat men most of the times. I also don't agree with the people that say that the straight men had everything better in the past, because it means they have zero knowledge of human history. Let's just try to understand each other better!

All great points! It is sometimes hard for people to detach themselves from their professional mode to their personal life. I dated a woman who was very successful and a boss, but I don't want to date a boss. I figured out is someone in the relationship is generally the lead, even though you are equal, someone takes the masculine energy in the relationship. We parted ways, still friends but not in a relationship anymore.

I have no idea how I came across this video or who this young lady is but she is speaking truth on this issue. In fact, I don’t think this subject gets the respect and attention it deserves. Feminine energy is not a metaphor, it is very real and palpable. A man can literally feel it when in the presence of a woman who is able to generate feminine energy, it’s an incredibly powerful energy that can literally have a physical effect on a man. They say music can sooth the savage beast, feminine energy is like music to a man and has a very similar effect. Feminist have it wrong, a woman’s true power is her feminine side.

Hi Courtney, Awesome video regarding the balance of internal energies 🤓! A recent job experience proved to me the importance of being aware of these two energies and how they can intertwine for success. My role was as project leader which you might think would play heavily towards masculine traits (leadership, logical problem solving, etc). However, it turned out that tapping feminine attributes (cooperation and dare I say nurturing behavior) are what truly made the $14M effort involving a 25 person team achieve the successful outcome! Another example of how a healthy "balance" is key to good things in life 😊!!! Thank you for reminding and reinforcing these super important principles! Cheers, Dan

Both of these energies complement each other, like Yin & Yang. We also have both of these energies inside us. A man who is unable to relate well with women is often not in touch with his feminine side. The same applies for women who are not in touch with their masculine side.

This is why mom and dad has been the basis of child raising for thousands of years and the safest place for children being mom generally being feminine provided the comfort and dad being generally masculine provided security. That polarity of masculine and feminine traits has historically been the bargain in marriage relationships and parenting.

There's a bunch to digest here, but one of the interesting things to think about is the concept of polarity. If you get with the right girl and demonstrate good masculine traits of confidence, strength, logic and assertiveness mixed with masculine kindness and sexual energy you can definitely move her into her feminine energy and it's a wonder to behold when that happens and you see your effect on her and her on you. You also need to recognize and appreciate the traits of feminine energy because as Courtney says they aren't really celebrated by society nowadays and that's a real shame. Nurturing and caring in particular are things I really appreciate in my wife in the way she cares for our children, and her sense of interdependence, everything is WE with her. And understanding the sexual aspect of this is really important too. A big part of a romantic relationship is tapping into your and her polarity in terms of "bedroom dynamics". Again your masculinity in terms of natural dominance and hers in terms of female submissiveness has a big role to play in this and again without going into details (but let's just say that most women want the man to take charge and lead her through the experience) if you get this balance right you can create a really deep bond with her.

I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and watched several of your videos on male-female behaviour and relationship issues. If I'm correct, you say you're mid-20s (maybe 26) now in 2021? However, you sound a lot wiser and mature than that age. I'm not saying you're lying but your videos surely present you far beyond that mid-20s age. You make excellent explanation and education in your professionally filmed videos with very feminine character and a sweet voice backed by soft appropriate music. (I noted some others suggesting you make ASMR content.) Keep up the good work. There is a severe disturbance in masculine and feminine energy especially in western countries. Some call it a war between the sexes. I'm Asian, living in a western country. Although I'm not directly or greatly affected by some of the growing problems and risks white men now face with dating women within their own western homeland, I can clearly see how dating and relationships have been going downhill (deteriorating), and leading to the growing uptake in a philosophy (not a movement) called Men Going Their Own Way (or Wallet) where mostly white men put focus on their own personal development (and preservation of their own assets) whilst distancing themselves from (minimising relations or commitment with) women, and enjoying freedom to do activities or pastimes that bring them happiness or fulfilment.

Great topic and video! The only caveat I would add is, for me, the word “equal” when describing partnership is not completely accurate. The way I think of it is having a pilot and co-pilot: it’s good to have both to obtain perspective but if there’s a need to tie break, that would go to the pilot. Traditionally that has been the man when in his masculine but I know some couples don’t necessarily follow that dynamic.

I like how you focus on the internal characteristics. How do you look at feminine/masculinity from a strictly cultural view? For instance pants are traditionally worn by men, but I do not think they make a woman masculine. At one time men and women were robes and sandals, but today robes, dresses, skirts etc are traditionally worn by women? Nail polish originated in Babylon some 3000 years BC. Men wore it. Society does not bat an eye when a woman wears pants, but often scoffs of a cisgender heterosexual man paints his nails. What are your thoughts regarding these things?

I don’t think I would use masculine and feminine energy to describe these attributes but I can see the idea is to simplify the framing of cortina focused approaches. In a nutshell you want to be supportive and nurturing, you want to recognize the importance of emotions, security, comfort, and the hierarchy of needs, but you also need to be aware that humans are emotional creatures and thus lack logical reasoning, you need to realize humans overwhelmingly personalize issues even if it is not their own stake, and that because humans tend to identify a mix of factors to their own identity they will be defensive because being wrong can hurt their own sense of security and foundation. So you also need to be able to withdraw, isolate emotion from yourself and the arguments of others, as well as create space, and know how to balance assertiveness with active listening and feedback. And of course you need to know where to draw limits and reality such as reasonable and sustainable goals. Could go on but I’m good.

Hey Courtney, great video! Was wondering can you please do a reaction to one of Corey Wayne’s videos. He’s the main person I go to to learn about dating & relationships. He talks a lot about masculine and feminine energy and his wisdom is truly profound. Would be great to hear your views on it 🙂

@M Muss No, he’s right. There are things that Courtney can provide a good perspective on, but there are things she can’t. And how to become more confident with women and initial approach skills is one of them. Virtually all women frame such scenarios through the lens of considering a man to which they are already attracted, so the advice is skewed. It won’t help a guy who struggles because he has unattractive attributes. A good case in point, women SAY they are attracted to men who can be emotionally vulnerable. Right? Wrong! Unless the guy is ALREADY attractive emotional vulnerability is a turn off. Even then emotional vulnerability is more about validation and security, I.e if he opens up to me he must like me. But that’s not attraction.

Aye i love the new setup Courtney. It looks like you in a million dollar office haha. You moving up in the world 😁🙌💖 I think this topic of a healthy balance of masculine and feminine energy is important. I think it's ok for a guy to have some feminine energy (caring, considerate, humble, loyal) Just like i feel a female can have some attractive masculine energy like (straightforward, assertive, quick thinker, ambitious) I agree with you that a man must display masculine energy as in believing in himself, being strong minded, protective, a provider and knowing what he wants so a woman can feel feminine. So yeah i don't mind some masculine traits in a woman as long as it isn't excessive. Sorry for the long message but at least i watched the whole video 😅 Have a great day!

Really interesting vid. I tend to not generalise with regards character traits of the sexes. That said, I totally agree that either sex can hold the same values and character traits BUT that "generally" women tend to be more nurturing and indirect while men "tend" to be a bit (lot) more direct. As for "opposites attract" - I think about it from the perspective of teamwork and contributing towards balancing each other out. In a team you'll pick people with different skills and will respect their ability to be a goalie vs a striker vs defence vs midfield-all-rounder, etc., ... We should carry that same respect for different skills, viewpoints and approaches into our personal relationships :) I also see many men who demonstrate the stereotypical "manliness" that you mention but when they demonstrate their nurturing, patient, indirect sides too, while initially respected, it's generally only a matter of time before those traits are seen as a weakness, taken advantage of and walked over. Especially if one party is emotionally lazy (i.e. isn't open to change within themselves and just wants the other person to simply enable / endorse their inflexible approach). Typically it happens over time - which I think is why so many men in unhappy relationships make statements along the lines of "she was so manipulative and changed me over time without me knowing it." In contrast, because men are generally more direct, we often hear women say "he's so aggressive" when a man has given instant direct feedback rather than taking several days / weeks / months / years 🤣 People do seem to either fully respect that diversity or see it as a weakness. I think the key is in identifying where your partner sits in that regard. (I'm still trying to figure out how to do that. Actually - I think a series of chats about "how to test your partner's character" would be a really useful set of tools. I think you've already done one but there are so many different attributes to look into. You have a great presentation style and you give a lot of balanced consideration to your content so I'm pretty sure you'd create a really useful tool-set if you decided to do it. Just a thought). Keep up the great work 👍

Hello humans. Lately I feel I've been living at 1/2 my conscience potential because of going thru life accidentally experiencing my own feminine "power" or thought patterns, feelings whatever label you espouse to the dynamic that suits you. Thru meditation and intention I've been actively working on balancing these aspects of myself. I'm having a better life and my relationships across the board have improved, without trying. I hope someone can connect with this comment.

Men don't care if the women are professional, the majority don't care but for women do care cause they are hipergamic ( women chose the best men ) we have the same values and the rights and we both are capable to do anything however we are different. Women have gift to give life while men have the gift of give energy and protection

I may have posted this already but with gender normative types there is a vulgar form and a refined form which are very different. Vulgar feminity is tiktok or tinder girls, celebrity gossip and uptalking, valley girl accents. Refined feminity is a woman reading a book under a tree or serving soup to the homeless. A woman who values both wisdom and charity. Vulgar masculinity is nu metal music or disco, VIP nightclubs, barbed wire tattoos and sports fandom. Refined masculinity is the man who would die for what he loves but doesn't love everything he's told to. Androgyny is preferable to vulgar gender normativity.
