I am driving 400 hp Porche Cayenne 4.8 s petrol and responsiveness of that is way slower than 275 Maserati 3.0 D. It is not easy to compare but if someone’s criteria is responsiveness and swiftness, this beauty is beating my other car. On the top of everything,The sound is AMAZING!!!

Not that fast 25.5 sec 0 to 200 km/h plenty of lower hp / lower engine displacement diesel cars that are faster, though the one thing Maserati has is the sound of the exhaust which even for the diesel it sounds good, better than any 3l diesel anyway (might even fool some people into thinking it's a petrol V8 from a distance), but the petrol one is just magnificent. I guess Maserati is for people for which the most important thing is how they are perceived by others, the raspy engine sound that emulates a V8 is sure to make people turn their heads to see what car is making those sounds because it sounds burbly and expensive, and when they turn they see a car with a crown , elegant lines and breathing gills on the sides and your first thought may be "I wonder what's under there is it a V8 or maybe even a V12 petrol engine? - this must be fast and expensive , the owner must be a rich and accomplished business man/woman. " If you come really close you start to hear the diesel cluttering and a critic eye will see the small details under the facade that give it away as an impostor, but most people will not see that, they will see it as the car of someone who's successful .

Fyi the sound of the exhaust it's fake (loud speakers). I considered buying the very same car but went instead for bmw 330d. Still not sure whether I did the right thing xD

@@thepharcyde8285 you would buy the Maserati for the looks more than anything and for the fancy logo The bmw was the right choice if ur looking for performance but the Maserati is an obvious winner for looks and sound

@@kimo4697 I am agree with you and actually I don't think that Mazerati is any slower than the Bmw as they have similar hp. Having that Bmw for an year now can say it was the right choice as faultless however it's about 4 years old now so not that old.

@@The_Pharcyde yes I think the bmw was the better choice for you as parts are not a problem and they are reliable vehicles I had a bmw for over 7 years with 180k mileage and it was a 330d aswell and not a single problem with it

It depends on which car you put it on. This Maserati weights over 1870 kgs but the performance could be better of course.

LOL but 275 is still alot, and since its a diesel has waay more torque than HP.

My 3.5 gasoline Mercedes has 500 Nm of torque, the Maserati only 570 Nm. My gasoline-machine does it still to the Vmax, while Maserati can hold it only until 2.600 rotations, up to 4.000 rotations (when it shifts), it will be maybe under 500 even. It's okay for a diesel, but it's no racing-car and gasoline-engines still take the cake.
