What I was trying to say is that in the context of this interview it was actually Trevor who questioned whether what she was saying means that both Putin and Trump have the power to define reality.

I agree that Trevor helped Masha rephrase her words into a more easily understood format; however, he only helped her refine what was her concept to begin with. Anyway, it doesn't matter. The idea belongs to all of us now, and it will help us be more resistant to these type of lies.

Politics and government is weird. We as Americans have the belief that democracy is better. But at the same time as we say Putin's autocracy is wrong a few dozen law makers in DC have the ability to sign in to law legislation and taxes that the majority don't want nor consent to... And if you disobey or withhold taxes a gun will be held to you the same DEMOCRATICALLY. Slavery, limited women's right, segregation, and a plethora of evils was once deemed legal through the Democratic process!!! This is insanity! whether one man or a group of men(by committee) claim authority over your freedom, health, and ability to obtain wealth; It is by definition immoral to steal kill control or limit another's happiness long as that person doesn't hurt harm or take from another.

Why are we _still_ talking about giving Trump the opportunity to demonstrate whether to support sanctions on Russia? He doesn't and he is not going to. He has demonstrated that. How many times does he have to fail this test before in order for it to stop being offered to him? Just to clarify, the Congress _can_ pass legislation over a presidential veto. It requires a super majority, but it is possible. Why is no one looking at _this_ for sanctions on Russia?

What people want is irrelevant it always has been. People only get what they want to distract them from reality. Giving people what they need/ what can be useful fir them is more important by leaps and bounds. In the end who do you think will be better off the kid who got a pony on her sixth birthday because her parents were getting divorced or the one that went to a private school that costs about the same as taking care of a miniature horse. Or going back in time the people that went to the Coliseum after an emperor passed or those who got laws passed in their favor while everyone was distracted with the games

@GAndreC

That’s the way of all republics given time. The institution (mainly Judicial and congress as the executive changes too often to cement their right to the position on the same level) becomes more concerned about retaining their own power and influence and claim its their right because people wanted them in power (yet they will not get anything done and claim its because of the opposition while they both continue to collect the freebies the position “entitles” them to). Any sort of leader that wants to do what’s best for the nation has to be willing and able to put the true holders of powers in their place or work under them and maybe get one vital thing done. If you look at more direct democracies out there those that do necessary but unpopular changes end up facing prison time at the end of their term unless they build an intelligence network stronger than the state around themselves and/or have the capacity to bring down the economy or the state through other means. But more often they spend the remainder of their natural born life in jail and the corruption they fought against go back to power and get supported by international organizations to do so. People may have their disagreements with Putin today but if he did not show up when he did the economic, security and social situation would be far less stable today. If anyone truly analyzes the situation Russia faced in the 90s its pretty much a no brainer. As far a Putin today that may be another story but even his staunchest detractors have expressed a level of praise for the results of his actions in his earlier years in power.
@monitoot
@monitoot 5 жыл бұрын
Non-Agglutinative Krenak sorry I disagree with you Putin is an evil person ,the end doesn't justify the means, and the end isn't good anyway, as for the American system it's broken, those who really got the power (not the puppets) wants the public to think that they have a freedom to choose whereas in reality the only freedom they have is to think that they're free !

Question: "What does the Bible say about homosexuality? Is homosexuality a sin?" Answer: The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26-27;1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When people continue in sin and unbelief, God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God. ....in every one's inside there is truth about this ...

I vote for Putin. Most of my friends did. Anti-Putinism is kind of a cultural trend in the artistic bohema, everyone says they are against him - publicly, and then still support him, because it's the only stable figure in the field, and our lives are simply getting better and better with each year. Not a single dude over the age of 20 would vote for this Navalniy guy, that US is pushing forward, and well, nobody even remembered who the hell is Nemtsov when he suddenly got killed. Who else? Khodorkovskiy? The thing is, the opposition can not give us a single person that would even remotely look trustworthy, but their screams are still the loudest, because most of the artistic and "free media" community is biased against him. And yeah, we've got this shit running for over a decade now, and they never managed to prove at least one point towards Putin, sometimes they catch some corrupt official and then suddenly - it's Putin's fault. TBH, the desire to position Putin as some kind of all-mighty-see-everything-dictator, who controls everything by himself - is stupidly ridiculous. I mean, we are HUGE country - both territory-wise and in the matter of complexity of the government. We are freaking Federation of 85 states, it's simply IMPOSSIBLE to be in sole control of everything. We have exactly the same separation of power as in US, the only real difference would be the amount of Agencies. But well, demonizing your enemy - traditional way of fighting propaganda war. I'm actually even flattered, that you guys think that Putin is an all-mighty dark god. Also, nope, i'm not on a payroll, and when we had a referendum about the next POTUS - i personally voted for Hillary, so don't throw any stones please.

Then why vote? Do nothing and the result will be the same.

See, your story sounds nice and all, but then you claim you voted for Putin AND for Hillary? So what are you, Russian or American? Sounds like you're just telling us what we'd want to hear tbh.

Well, you're an idiot. Actually, you lost me right at the "our lives are simply getting better and better with each year" -- are you sure you visited some general stores lately? Or maybe our relationship with world is getting better? What is it exactly that simply gets better? The man is ruling for nearly two decades one way or another. It's time for him to leave. There can't be any other candidate as long as you actively repressing the very idea of an opposition. And he is someone from the past and can only steer our country into medieval shithole. Cheers from Moscow.
