Brilliant, because we’ve got the cartoon for you. Turn your speakers all the way up and check out the early days of the now-classic One Jump Man vs Shaggy Ball Z rivalry by watching this bumper-sized cartoon!
If you’re not aware, you should know that this isn’t just a Shaggy vs Luigi battle. No, no, no. As well as the anime giants, you get cameos from Johnny Bravo and Isabelle from Animal Crossing, AND a certain purple someone shows up to the rap battle at one point… that certain someone is Waluigi, just in case that wasn’t clear. Can I just say, I absolutely LOVE seeing Luigi get this treatment. I don't know what it is, being constantly overshadowed despite technically being the better of the Mario Bros. (in a game where jumping is everything, Luigi jumps higher and *technically* his abilities in Smash Bros. edge out Mario's despite being largely similar) but I have ALWAYS loved Luigi and would always choose him when given a choice between Mario and Luigi. It might also be because I'm a brother and while I'm the older brother, I am the taller and fitter of the two and always felt like nothing I do is ever good enough and I'm never taken seriously. I suppose that's why Luigi is more relatable to MANY people out there - people love the hard working, earnest, loving underdog.
