I believe not only that Raven transforms into a boat, but that those things that flip out on the wheels of Raven are some kind of those James Bond-esque things that would come out and pop other people's tires which obviously would never work and would just scratch up the opponent's hubcap.

I never saw the Saturday morning TV series but in the 1980s I was working for a commercial photographer and one time we had a whole lot of MASK toys like that to photograph for a toy catalogue. The company did not want the toys back so I took them and gave them all to a friends nephew who was thrilled to have them.

The Raven was a seaplane/submersible, IIRC. I mostly liked the Corvette mode on it, though.

Holy shit.. I had the Hondo McClain tank/car as a kid and I never knew what it was from. I think it must've been a hand-me-down from one of my uncles. The nostalgia is flooding back to me right now.

Raven was my 1st MASK toy, at that time I didn't knew the show and my parents bought it for me thinking it's Knight Rider, which I was a big fan of at that time, but eventually I discovered and loved the show and got a bunch of other toys.

I very distinctly remember these from my childhood

Raven was my absolute favourite. But it was a weird vehicle. A car that flies but only takes off once it's in the sea. Yep, it was classed as a Sea Plane. Throw shit on the wall and see what stick I suppose. But still, loved it. I still have all of my MASK toys stashed in the attic. It's a shame I don't live near yah, cos I have enough vehicles for 2 more vids.

Great video! I had Jack Hammer, and lost the figure pretty quickly but held onto that truck for awhile. I loved the front guns that click and move while you drive it. I was always playing with that thing.

I used to loooooove M.A.S.K. toys, but my all time favorite classic toy (other than Lego) was Dino Riders.

The neat thing about these to me was always that they were identifiable cars. The black sportscar is a C4 Corvette and the purple one is definitely a 300ZX -these are two of my favorite sportscars!

I bought the Raven as a child because I was a huge knight Rider fan ad it looked a bit like KITT. As a child I never had much money. At weekends each grand parent would give me £1. But one of them saved that £1 for me and the first day of the summer holidays I'd get £52.. Being 6 years old with £50 to spend on toys fo0r the summer was fantastic. All the toys I saw but could not afford before were now open for me to buy. Lot's of super jealous friends.

I don't know why, but this vid made me suddenly think of another IP- The Centurions! Kind of more obscure, I feel, yet I get vague memories of it that pop into my head now and then from when I was very young. Probably because, oddly enough, it was one of the only shows of that kind that I both watched AND had some of the toys. Didn't have Transformers or anything like that, but I had some Centurions! Heh.

Minor thing, those bits on the wheels are not supposed to be pulled all the way out. They are just meant to pop up a bit to be little gun turrets. The way Ashens has them, they would bee shooting straight up or down.

It would be awesome if people started 3D scanning the little rockets and other accessories for this and other vintage toys and making the scans available for people to 3D print

Aww I thought I'd see Stiletto (the Lamborghini one) coz that's the one I had as a kid. One of my cousins had the Volks Beetle one that has a motorcycle(?) inside it. It's a shame I was about 4 when I got it and I believe sometime I broke the outer shell and threw the drivers somewhere. Looking back at it now it looks really REALLY cool and would have been a nice nostalgic memento of the 80's.

I remember having the Goliath truck thing with the F1 car, Trakker wore a black and purple suit with an eagle on the front for some reason.

Weird switches are a feature of most old fords, only those are small ones that people install in the dashboard when they make modifications and don't label.

I had Floyd Malloy and his flying motorcycle and mask with a hole cut in the top so you could see his poncey do. I used to call him Billy Idol. I don't think I knew his name was Floyd Malloy as a kid, even though I watched the cartoon.

Was wondering the other day if you were going to follow up that first MASK video after YT started recommending me a Toy Galaxy MASK vid. Glad you got around to it! I had Raven as a kid. One of my favourite toys that. It's a boat it turns into. I have a feeling it was also meant to be a submarine but that may have been childish imagination making me think that. The guns in the wheels were meant to be at a 45 degree angle or something. Friend of mine had that cool one where they wooden crate turned into a jet that fired lasers at another vehicle to make it explode. Was always jealous of him for having that.

For anyone interested the motorcycle is (I'm around 90% sure) a BMW K100RT(road touring or some such) a touring bike from the mid 80s so perfect for an 80s cartoon.
