What it looks like to me is that someone was given JUST the model's texture mesh (without the actual model) and told to make it into a stuffed creature. Except that I think Abe's Odysee used prerendered 2D sprites, which actually makes a lot of sense if THAT's all they were given.

"A Diamond is Forever" is in fact the very campaign that artificially inflated the value of diamonds. Well that and just chucking a huge portion of mined diamonds in vaults and pretending they don't exist, but artificially restricting supply only gets you so far when nobody actually wants your boring, colorless rocks in the first place, so they had to artificially generate demand as well.

@warbossgegguz6794 жыл бұрын
@@TheRealColBosch never heard mention of these before tbh. My primary understanding of the whole satanic panic relates primarily to music, film, and comic censorship, which are obviously going to overshadow something like trading cards. I'm sure they sold well on controversy alone, but idk. Maybe it's because I didn't have helicopter parents (MK2 was the 2nd video game I ever played, saw army of darkness at 4, pulp fiction at 8, saw ac/dc at 10, six feet under at 13... I could go on and on) so to me that sort of stuff isn't new and exciting, just kind of disturbing. It doesn't quite cross the line into being comically gory in most of them, and almost seems kind of sadistic tbh. Like, as much as I like over the top violence, innocent people being slaughtered by fictitious "dinosaur" chimeras isn't really something I would have found amusing regardless of my age unless it was presented in a way more black humor, tongue in cheek manner (Mars Attacks the Movie, Destroy All Humans, Return of the Living Dead, the Evil Dead series, Friday the 13th 6, etc.). This is just kind of dark and nothing else, with a few "ironic" deaths here and there to make it seem like an attempt at humor. More exploitative than fun I guess is what I mean.

Out of all the cards shown in these videos, the Dinosaur Attack ones are the first I'd like to actually collect.

And Lootcrate once sent you a box of inflatable crowns, as if to say "I don't care, I'm on top of the world." Oh how the mighty have fallen.

I love the Dinosaurs Attack cards, I bought a NOS box of them to break for a full set. There was exactly 1 complete set in there... Bet kids had a nightmare completing them!

Random fact: Aled Jones DID NOT sing Walking in the Air for The Snowman film. (He did sing a cover of it afterwards though)

The saurian was one of the cards in the top trumps dinosaur pack which always really confused me because it was in amongst a bunch of other real dinosaurs and i had no idea where it came from so i was never sure if it was real or not so that clears something up from my childhood thanks ashens!

Lootcrate used to be great. Very easy to sell the contents for more than they cost if you were quick. But they made too many monthly boxes and ended up overstocked and underselling. Thousands of exclusives then made there way to zavvi, loudshop and bargain stores.

Clicked for the thumbnail. My grandad bought me that Dinosaur Battle game when I was about 10. I'm 34 now and he passed away in 1998. That start-up jingle brought a year to my eye.

Had a quick Google, seems it's currently available from a seller on eBay for £14. I won't link the eBay URL here, but just type "richard madeley phone t shirt" into Google and it will be one of the top searches

Ooh, the Gildan brand T-shirt! I have a blank white one as a gift for reasons, and it's relatively good quality for its supposed cheap price from what I understand. Relatively thick material that for some reason doesn't trap heat that much, which is a godsend when you live on the Equator like I am
