Fun fact: each squadmate in ME1 has a hidden morality value. From "Paragon" to "Renegade", the order is Liara, Kaidan, Tali, Garrus, Ashley, Wrex. _Unless_ you constantly talk shit about aliens to Kaidan. Then you can radicalize him so hard he'll tell you to let the Council die... and _Wrex_ will argue and tell you to save them. Very cursed.

it is one shot when Ashley does it. I think, tho iirc she still shoots his body a couple more times when he's down and out of view, so it's not clear whether he still lives or not

I think their absence is not felt in second game and thats why theyre not appreciated in third game. Im talking about Ass-hley and Kai-damn. They refused to walk with you then when youre back in action theyre like '' hey its us again'' .Their only worth is 25 war points.Im happy to not shot Wrex because genophage is his weak side and krogans will have better future with wrex and eve. On the other hand you wont even feel ashley/kaidan's absence.

Yeah, I thought that was kinda dumb. Shepard didn't even have his implants in yet. Literally anyone would've seen that smack coming. Wrex would've shot before Shepard even stood a chance lol.

I do agree though, the main character(s) look really stupid for apparently being part of an equivalent military. To be fair, I did forget like 99% of what happened in the game, so I might have to replay it to reassess my judgement lol

@@TheDestati To be fair, I did predict Cyberpunk 2077's disastrous launch. Even as early as 2017, they had concerning signs of poor leadership and management. It was inevitable that the game would release buggy, it's just unfortunate that everyone else was buried in hype. Even then, yeah, it still was a disappointment even by my predictions. The company responsible (CD Projekt) deserves every little bit of flak theyre getting.

I started with ME2... I didn't have enough paragon or renegade by the end to solve the disputes. Also didn't know I had to upgrade the ship. A LOT of people died.

Their shields probably aren't active at all times for the same reason they aren't always wearing their helmets. They are not in combat right now.

@@TheDestati The Ruthless Shepherd I was role-playing wouldn't, because as Sheperd says, no one would be around to reap the benefits of the cure. Stopping Saren from wiping out life in the galaxy using the Reaper ships (didn't know at that point that the ships are the Reapers themselves), is far more important to a Ruthless Sheperd than one species being fully fertile again. The description for the Ruthless background literally calls Sheperd 'brutal, cold, and calculating', and can be summarised as being willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. He acted sooner rather than later, and didn't try too hard to talk Wrex down, as well as not bother with giving Wrex a burial. Every other Sheperd I play is able to resolve the situation, as the dialogue between them continues for longer, and Sheperd is more empathetic. But I imagine that Sheperd would make the same call, if it came down to it. He wouldn't, and couldn't accept it because there was too much at stake, despite understand Wrex's want to. However, due to the trust between them, it never would. That, and the fact that Ashley would shoot him first. If a non-Ruthless Sheperd did shoot Wrex, he'd make sure he was given the proper burial.

@@TheDestati I haven't done, as of yet. I only recently played as Ruthless Shep, and haven't carried him across to ME2 and ME3. But I do know, for example, he'll trick the Krogan into thinking that the Genophage has been cured, in order to gain both Krogan and Salarian support. Fortunately, with Wreav being the leader of Clan Urdnot instead of Wrex, that'll be the better outcome. For another example, he'll also allow Zaeed to get revenge, at the cost of the factory workers' lives, as he'd rather have Zaeed loyal for the mission, due to him deeming it more important. But he won't choose Morinth over Samara, nor force Jack to kill Aresh, because he isn't cold for the sake of it, and neither would be more beneficial to the suicide mission.

@@TheDestati Oh yes, I know you can still save him, if he doesn't get his revenge. That's what I've done every other time. But I'm trying to play it with this Ruthless Shep as if it's my first time experiencing the events. Sheperd doesn't know that he could have saved the factory workers AND gained Zaeed's loyalty, just as he didn't know that Sovereign wasn't just a Reaper ship but an actual Reaper, when he shot Wrex. As I said, I haven't shot Wrex/had Wrex die before, so haven't had the chance to experience Wreav first-hand, in ME2. But I did feel that Wrex was a little less intelligent in ME3 than he seemed in ME2. However, it could just be that he's more...jokey in ME3. Less serious. It's a shame ME3 didn't have even just another six months development. Neither have I. I was just giving Samara as an example of not always going with the "renegade" option for the sake of it, and choosing what Ruthless Sheperd would deem best for the mission. Huh. I've always convinced Jack to spare Aresh, as to better overcome her past. To be a new person. Aresh was still clearly very ill, in wanting to restart the facility, but he needed treatment for his mental state, not a bullet in the head. For Ruthless, I'm not sure what I'll do yet. From one view, Sheperd could argue he isn't worth it, which isn't the same as arguing that he doesn't deserve to die. Jack doesn't want revenge against him, but the facility, whereas Garrus and Zaeed wanted revenge against individuals. I'll decide when I get to that point. I'd love for another game to be set in the Milky Way, even if it were a prequel.

I genuinely appreciate your full approach to RP and am glad somebody else explores the game in the same way I do.

The Destati It’s very simple ME1 Be certain that Wrex is dead. It doesn’t matter how, he just has to die ME2 Delete all of Maelon’s data and kill him for good measure. ME3 Provided reputation is beyond three bars (I think) and Bakara is dead(which happens anyway I believe if the data was deleted) then there will be the option to persuade Mordin not to commit sliced if you try to delay him. There’s a couple vids on KZfaq about this encounter, and it made perfect sense for my character cause they would only ever kill a friend if it was absolutely necessary since he regretted murdering Wrex. I think that this option is the best out of the renegade choices in terms of the genophage, but that’s just cause it seems more like a renegade option than just killing Mordin and then later Wrex on the citadal(if he’s alive instead of Wreav).

@@TheDestati I made a new engineer tonight - he's level 2 or 3 right now, still on Eden Prime. In ME2 I have a level 21 Vanguard with all squaddies loyal, except for Thane and Legion, whom I have not picked up yet. Normally I do full paragon in ME1. In ME2 I use the Gibbed editor, so I have max paragon and renegade, max cash, max minerals. I treat my crew right and am very Paragon with them, but fools and enemies get the Full Renegade treatment. I really enjoy Most of the game, but like you I love Noveria and the Zen atmosphere. I also enjoy Ilos, and feel like there is not enough time spent there.

@@TheDestati I actually played ME3 very late compared to other people. I played the original 2 when they came out. I held out on ME3 cuz I heard the ending was bad and I didn’t want it to ruin my experience with the franchise so I held off on it and finally got to play it with the Legendary edition - it is definitely not as great as the first two. Combat was ok but feel like they wear trying to make a mini Gears of War. The ending was awful but had potential. Can’t believe they would do their beloved franchise dirty like that. A lot of side characters were pushed aside like Ashley and Kaiden which is what I hated, felt like they were pieces of furniture with no significance to the story. It wasn’t a horrible game or bad. It has replay value to it but ME1 will always be masterpiece.

@@TheDestati A single female krogan can produce a thousand eggs a year. Without the genophage, they will all hatch. This means that 1,000 female krogans this year will produce a million new krogans next year and a million female krogans will produce a billion new krogans within a year time. The genophage bring their reproduction rate to one krogan being born per female krogan per year, bringing their fertility rate closer to human levels. Without the genophage, conflict with the krogan is an inevitability as they very quickly outstrip their resources. Krogans being kept around may lead to them eventually developing the cure, hence leading to another galactic war very shortly after. As for the rachni, they're bugs, they're easily indoctrinated by the Reapers - unlike with the other species, the Reapers don't even have to indoctrinate them one by one to have them do their bidding, they just have to influence their queens and they suddenly have an arms factory producing gazillions of rachni ready to zerg-rush any threat to the reapers. The Rachni War was apparently even more devastating than the Krogan War ever was, so they may prove too much for a fledgling Humanity to handle should it have to face them.

@@TheDestati This way it is easier to save Mordin, since you deceive Wreav and convince Mordin to sabotage the cure, you also get the Krogan and Salarian fleet as support, betraying wrex is so sad that i prefer kill him

@@TheDestati agreed. I don't think there isn't any other game that have characters as great as in this series. My favorites are Mass Effect 2 and 3. I hope the trilogy remaster is true, I will buy it as soon as it releases.

@@ConnorLonergan Eden Prime looks horrible in Legendary with warm sun next to Sovereign and that stupid lens flare. You see massive lovecraftian spaceship which is signalling a apocalypse, but red sky is too over the top? Red blood sky really sets the tone. And "nothing is happening that would create such an effect", you can see at the distance huge scorched area where Sovereign landed. You know, as if the place was on fire.
