Personally one other change I would make to Leng is to make him a Vanguard. Have it where Leng kills Thane by using a Biotic Charge which is also how he takes down Liara on Thessia. This way you have less of the characters acting like idiots and seeing that Vanguards are pretty popular boss fights it's a win win.

My story for silent Kai Leng is that his "improvements" in fact affected his Broca's area - a part of our brain responsible for speech production and articulation, he could still make sounds but not talk anymore. However the Illusive Man would not care about this - a perfect assassin does not need to use words after all. 14:05 Also Leng's face got worse than in original, forcing him to cover it, like all Cerberus soldiers.

stoooop this rules so hard because not only does it improve kai leng but it also adds way more weight and significance to the cerberus agent with a husk face you find during the mars mission. I audibly gasped when he lifted his face i love the modding community fr. Kai being subjected to modifications by the illusive man who has been indoctrinated the whole time and being basically an example of a perfected organic creature turned reaper made weapon adds so much depth to the whole game it's so sick!!!

So...when I found out this mod was a thing I downloaded it in like 24 picoseconds. It's a glorious - and hilarious - example of how just keeping it in your damn pants sometimes results in a better product. The people writing Kai Leng thought he was so fuckin' COOL, and he's the second cringiest thing in the entire saga. But simply strip him of his dialog and cover his stupid face? BOOM. Suddenly he actually IS kinda cool. There's still annoying-ass plot armor, but this mod does a lot with very little. And 14:07 just blew my mind. I didn't see it coming, and its so obvious and yet so effective to show, in the end, who this guy is. Some of these mod authors really have a good eye for storytelling beats. This is the kind of mod that seriously repairs ME3. Take Earth Back and the Happy Ending Mod do a ton of heavy lifting of course, but mods like this make me smile. Because this mod actually kinda changes my opinion on Kai Leng's inclusion. It just needed some tweaks, and suddenly he's a functional and interesting character, and not a cringe factory. Quite a feat!

I’m in the midsts of doing another play through of the trilogy almost finished ME1. Might try this mod when I get to ME3

what a shame. I remember reading a mass effect book where kai leng was a character. he was completely human, but like, peak physical condition and crazy skills. Super racist. Believed in the superiority of humans. He apparently killed a krogan 1v1 with nothing but a knife (mentioned, not shown) but then there's a fight where turian commandos attack a cereberus hideout and kai leng is literally caught in the shower. All he has is a service pistol and a knife and he's got nothing but a bath towel for armor. He takes down the squad of commandos by stealthing up to them and fights them in melee with knife attacks and point blank pistol shots, which their kinetic barriers cannot stop. He uses the bodies of the turians to block shots from the others to compensate for having no armor at all. Later on, he gets captured by captain anderson, and anderson shoots him in both legs to cripple him before leaving him to die in a facility that was about to blow up. Kai leng escapes through sheer willpower and determination by american ninja warrior climbing through the facility with only his upper body for locomotion. - I really thought this character was very cool, because he represented a "peak human badass" that believed that humans were the superior race. Perfect Cerberus villain. The decision to pit him against commander shepard is, I think, perfectly reasonable. but its a real shame he didn't at least start out as a regular, unaugmented human that was spouting anti-alien rhetoric the whole time. And maybe, after defeating him once or twice, kai leng was is crippled badly and barely escapes, and finally, when he comes back he's an augmented half-cybernetic reapered up version of himself. and maybe in the last fight, after you defeat him, you can convince him that he was wrong by appealing to his sense of human superiority and convincing him that the illusiveman is betrayed humanity by making them dependent on reaper tech.

You take away his face, take away his voice and the childish e-mail messages. Boom! Just like that you create a badass villain to take down. How they messed up such simple character is beyond me. *smh* ⭐⭐⭐⭐

There is a recording in the Cerberus HQ where Illusive Man talks to him and he talks back was it also cut out? bc it would make no sense since Illusive Man is responding to his lines.

EA would be wise to just make an update mod store for us console peasants to install the take earth back mod and, happy ending mod this mod to just give us a complete trilogy like we deserved. after andromeda as well i dont trust whoever the DEI infested employees at bioware right now can deliver anything

Silent and faceless, did Disney do this? "Personally Kai Leng is the most annoying character in whole trilogy so this mods turns him from walmart ninja into silent badass assasin" He`s supposed to be annoying, you`re supposed to hate the guy, now he`s a stormtrooper.

It's amazing what a covered face with fewer lines can do for a character. Not even ironic about it. I just played through ME3 with this mod and Kai Leng was a great villain.

Also, rip Executor Chellick. Gotta love the relevant mods.
