Children are bred to help the parents. Right? 😇 Ex quilter here. I’m sure I had some of those fabrics, back in the day. I ironed then. Rarely, now. It’s a form of torture and I refuse to participate! Thanks for the tutorial! This would be something to do while glued to the TV.

Very important video!! Now I finally have a technique to use up left over quilting fabric other than "scrappy quilts". Thank you Tina for another great class.

Couldn't agree more about the anxiety surrounding when the young ones start driving. As for mass making, I like to watch others do it, but I just can't seem to jump on that bandwagon !! And I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling through threading a needle! Ugh!!

The ruffles are lovely! Your method is different from the way I learned, so, yay! LOL I'll be giving it a go! I can so relate to your son driving concerns. Every darned advancement that the children make brings us more stress, eh? LOL Like my mom used to say, "This is why mothers have grey hair!" LOL On one particular Easter weekend, when my three were teens, all three were out and about on Florida's highways that weekend. They had all gone to do things at different beaches, from Jacksonville, down to Miami! I was a nervous wreck! But, thank heavens, they all got home safe and sound and lived to do it again and again and again! LOL All we can do is teach them right from wrong, how to behave, to follow the rules and laws and what to do in an emergency. The rest will come with age and experience. Hopefully! LOL Thank you for another great visit'! Su

Another excellent video. Thank you. 🙂 A quick tip on knotting the end of thread, wrap the end around your index finger, place your thumb over the spot where the threads cross, and using pressure from your thumb, roll the threads off of the end if your finger. Then pull that rolled bit of thread and it should knot up really easily. 👍Good luck!

Wonderful tutorial as usual! I enjoy the mass-making also. I'm always mass-making something! Today I'm mass-making altered paper clips. I've been giving those to family members as part of thier Christmas presents. They're going over very well. Adore your lace trims. I really think that you could do a tutorial with the sewing machine. Everyone has accidents sometimes that doesn't mean you're bad at what you. I've witnessed that you're very good at all you do. my daughter and her husband are taking our two grandchildren on a trip to New York as the big part of their Christmas. both the children are 14 and they always opt out of a lot of Christmas or birthday gifts because they like to take trips is a family. I think your family made a very good choice.🎅🎄🤶🌲⛄🦌💚

Thank you so much. It is also a matter of logistics, so sewing machine tutorials would be difficult. How lovely that your 14 year olds tend to opt for trips and family things, I think it's nicer that way x

Here I was expecting the usual baste and gather ruffle, but your way is totally unique to me and works effortlessly! Mass making makes so much sense, but I'm not good at sticking to just one type of thing. I always go off on some random task as well. LOL. TFS the inspiration and creativity, Tina! Happy Holidays!

I stayed up and made some of these ruffles. I like them better because they are not so bulky and are flatter than machine sewed ruffles. I have plenty of all the fabric and I am making sure to make solid color ruffles. I agree... mass quantities is a good thing❤❤❤

I love green too Tina.. (I always say green and blue are my favourite colours, because I cant possibly pick just one...lol) You are basically doing a largish back stitch lovey 😉 I think your hand stitching is perfectly fine hun (don't be so hard on yourself xo) I think that is a great idea adding a little extra embellishment to them..(and I do have about a million buttons etc...lol 🙄😄) All I can say is thank god I have an automatic needle threader on my main machine.. eekk..don't start me on threading a hand needle...hahah, Wow..that sounds great lovey, I would love to stay in a tree house...I have no idea how I would manage to get up into one...that could be quite a palaver..🤣. Yes, we have the Lynx stuff here in Aus for the fellows, aww bless, she sounds like a sweetie (mind you I feel old...my youngest grand children (the 3 girls) are all only 5... 😳 (they were all born in the same year, with about 7 months dividing the 3) Yes, I think it is a lovely idea to have a family experience together, I am sure it will be lovely and make lots of lovely memories xo I am sure he will be ok lovey, he sounds like a pretty sensible young fellow. That is a lovely thing hun xo

Totally makes sense about the ends is you were to tear fabric! It could end up looking like a pile of thread!Haha!but love these little ruffles!I still have never made stitched ruffles, only made some with strips of fabric and hot glue by scrunching them quickly! And I mean very quickly, some looked more like a jumbled mess than anything near a ruffle,but....owell!Anyways thanks for sharing, your the first video of the day!Whoo-Hoo!Now back to focusing on your video, writting this as I watch!👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

Bulk making totally makes sense. Sometimes I don’t want to do a journal but I like making different mass ephemera. To be honest I haven’t made but two journals and haven’t completed the second one yet. I have no reason other than I am afraid of messing up the pages. Anyone else ever been there?

Fantastic tutorial on the these. I love listening to you. You are so funny at times. Thank you for this information it is so simple to do..but sometimes Tina I can’t mass produce anything..it’s like I have to make it as I go along...sometimes. I thinks It’s because I have no space to keep things! Very small apartment I have..so my crafty supplies take most of the space. I love the different fabrics also you are using. Love 💗 this tutorial on making ruffles by hand. I do a lot of sewing 🧵... & have made ruffles with my sewing machine. So , I would love to make these by hand cause I like the way the stitches are on the front of your ruffles. Embroidery thread or different types of threads would very beautiful for your ruffles. Tfs ... really enjoyed this.😊. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄!!

Tina, I have researched this and researched this, to no avail!! There are several machine-stitching tutorials, but no hand -stitching! I do not have the use of a sewing machine and needed this tutorial! I love the look of fabric ruffles on a page..... too late for my Christmas journals which have been distributed....but definitely helpful for Valentine's and Easter. (I work slow, so need to start early!) Thank you so much for this!! You are so funny and completely transparent - "sewing your thumb!" Been there, done that!! Happy holidays!

These are beautiful! :) tyfs! Do you know about the running stitch method? (some call it a hem stitch) Run your needle up & down the length, then pull the thread & gather it up? A bit quicker & easier, and looks more like your machine ones? You can make long ones & cut them apart too. ;) I have seen tutorials / people making them. I like dvd's & cd's still, for ones I like so I can rewatch without a subscription or fight with my internet. Lol tyfs

Well done with making 13 ruffles, that's pretty good going. I love these, I can make these sitting on my bed watching tv like today as not up to going in my craft room. My sleep pattern is all up to pot, I only had 3 hours last night and I am shattered. Did you ever get to Snowdonia afterwards as you said you were going in March and with covid you might not have got there in time before the world went mad. ? We have been to Snowdonia a few times, been all around north wales. Its a beautiful part of our country and we love it there. Tina can you tell me where you buy your napkins for crafting please. I have got some Christmas ones of ebay, and there not cheap. I am house bound so it would have to be online or somewhere my daughter or husband could get them. I could kick myself as I use to have a ton of them and I gave them all to my local school many years ago where we would do swaps on a forum I belonged too. Didn't think I would ever get back into paper crafting again. Thank you for another wonderful hour of your company. xxxxxx

We didn't make it to Snowdonia, although we did go to the treehouse in North Wales, and had a lovely time. Wales is gorgeous isn't it? The people there are lovely as well. I have been lucky enough to receive lots of beautiful napkins in happy mail, we don't really get a good choice over here do we? Thank you for joining me :-) Have fun with your ruffles! x

I like having movie CDs because we tend to lose our satellite reception. There’s only a few TV programs I like. I have 900 channels and I watch maybe 8 channels. Our television has gotten so politically lopsided I just said I’m done. I do not watch the main three anymore. I love the bbc but our carrier only shows one main show series over and over.
