Thank you SO MUCH for making this video. I've always struggled with ruffles onn the machine. I never dreamed about hand sewing them. You have total control and your hands won't get ahead of themselves like a machine does. What a wonderful video! Thanks for redoing your mass makes and thank you for this one especially! ♥

So great to see hand stitched ruffles vs. sewing them - takes alot to get the sewing machine all threaded up and ready to stitch sometimes, so it'll be nice to hand stitch instead. :) Have a Merry Christmas

Tina, what great instructions on these, I can't wait to try them. They will add so much charm on projects. I think adding a wax like on a pocket on the ruffle towards one end would be so cute

You may want to try a different kind of ruffle. Just take a running stitch through center of strip then hold thread taut and push fabric into a ruffle on it. Hop that makes sense!!😃 They are really cute. Blessings of the season to you and those you love.

I totally get the less festive Christmas this year. The year has been rough. Covid restrictions, my Mom having Covid, my husband losing two family members to Covid plus other things going on, it has been a very bad year. We just don’t have it in us this year. Hopefully next year will be better. Your videos have brought me through some dark times, Tina. Make and put up as many videos as you want, I LOVE them!!! ❤️🥰⛄️🎄

Hello Tina! I’m actually watching this the day after Christmas!! Hope you had a delightful holiday & your daughter’s ecstatic over her new little toy!! I absolutely love these ruffles & I’m actually happy to see something that is hand-sewed! My machine is still hidden in the depths of my sewing room, but I have needle & thread at the ready from sewing signatures into books! Also am going to try to keep up with Rachel’s (Roxy Creation’s) & her sister Sarah’s Journal of Stitchery! (I have managed to get all my embroidery floss organized & have chosen a book to use, but that’s about it!) Am already woefully behind, so we’ll see how that goes!! But I can snag some fabric scraps & work on these little cuties! I also don’t know how other’s may do it, but I like you’re way: it’s method is clear & simple, and I like the neat row of stitches marching across the top! It’s so hard to believe that we’ve been in this crazy pandemic almost 2 years. Just mind-boggling. I agree with your comments on shopping. Shopping close to home in local merchants’ stores would be good, but they hardly have anything stocked AND it’s easier & safer & cheaper to shop online. I feel guilty about doing that, but I also don’t have a car, so there you have it. My children & I have all had our 2 vaccines, but haven’t had the booster yet. My son who’s living with me (after being evicted from his apartment December 9) just started showing signs of a cold yesterday, a lot of places are on reduced hours this week, so I’m not sure where to go for a test (he’s uninsured also). This new variety, Omicron, may not affect vaccinated people as much, so does he have a cold or COVID?? This is so worrisome & wearying. I just want it to all go away. So that’s a very meandering way to say thank you for all you’ve given us during this time!! I just love tuning in to see what you’ve got going! Your cheerful enthusiasm is always on display (even when you’re dealing with your own life issues!) It’s been so wonderful to have my new-found friends all around the world! It gets me out of my own tiny world here & I enjoy hearing about your life & your childrens’ antics always crack me up! It may be boring for you, but I LOVE the mass-making series, it’s something familiar & comforting, & it’s pattern is always the same! But we get a new goodie at the end! I’ve got to go now & look for your Christmas Day video! Thanks so so much, Tina!

Yay 🙌🙌 two videos😁😁😁 you're a busy girl! Lol I can't tear fabric🙈. Yes you're making sense, it's called a back stitch. These would be cute in lace with ribbon down the middle. You could easily make these watching t.v.. we're excited for Christmas although I think the pandemic has taken away a little magic. at the weekend we saw our older son and daughter in law for the first time since covid!! It was wonderful. Yeah we bought everything online now, no window displays and atmosphere. We mostly have charity shops (small market town). I've started learning to make clothes because it's awful buying them online😔. Lol yes we can shop ANY TIME now in our pyjamas🙊. Wow you're on the case this year. I love getting things done early. Our older kids mostly get money. 😂😂😂😂 you choose😂😂😂, my youngest is like that. We have so many broken fidgets 🙈. Oh last minute requests, panic time😵. 😂😂😂😂 a toilet 🚽? 🙊🙈🙊🙈🙊. Santa is the best! I'm having online Christmas with our daughter again so it's just the three of us. You're right, we get on with it, apart from the protesters who are probably spreading it more! .😵 that's quite a price jump. My collal was the same price as last year but fuel is terrible. I'm having the mother in law on boxing day🤦. Lol I'm having surgery to stay occupied after Christmas😂😂😂😂. You're a one woman broadcasting company but I'm happy to watch. These are really cute 😍. I appreciate you showing us the hand stitching. I don’t have a sewing machine (yet 😉) and never thought I would be interested in stitching, but I’ve been inspired lately to give it a go. Baby steps for me … I sewed a button on the Nutcracker folio I made for my niece 😂🧵🪡 and that was a huge production!

These are cute! I bought a pack of 4 needle threaders on Amazon and they were not expensive. But learning how NOT to do the pointy part will draw a little blood ☺ If you have an Alexa tell it to play Christmas music. 🎄

The prices of everything has gone up so much! Especially beef of all things. So, we get what we can when we can. We watch for sales and wait until we absolutely have to get the vehicles gassed up. It’s crazy out there! Needless to say we are giving to the kids/grandkids and nothing to each other. Just that kind of year for us. ❤️🥰

A Tina two-fer! Sweetheart, you're the best! Christmas is indeed quite different now, and you bring up a good point... or several good points actually... Christmas is less Christmassy 😔 Is it me? I'm older now, my son is grown but has no children of his own yet, so the "Santa element" has been removed, though Christmas for us has always been about Christ, not about Santa, so that hasn't changed, nor will it. My son and I are it, we've got no family left to go visit, so he's asked if he can make dinner for me, so yeah, sure!! I've been tasked with bringing a couple "family favorites" that cannot be scaled down, so the table will be lopsided with my Maga's hot potato casserole and Hungarian walnut torte for desert. I feel carb-loaded and sleepy just thinking about it! I'm looking forward to all your end-of-the-year festivities... watching YT and crafting wouldn't have been "proper " when 30+ family members gathered for Christmas dinner 20 years ago but it sure is my idea of a good time now.
