Really like these pockets! Working on some fall journals, I usually do 3-4 at a time. I just give out for gifts. Thanks for sharing. I love anything you do Tina! My hair was long when I was young. I had such thick hair wearing it in a ponytail would sometimes give me a headache! Been wearing it shorter the older I get. I use to have highlights put in it. Now it’s just natural God given highlights and you know I get lots of compliments on it! So funny!

Oh thank you so much Cheryl, I really appreciate your kindness. I know what you mean, I hardly ever wear a ponytail, for the exact same reason. If I do, I take it out within an hour or two. Yes, it's weird isn't it, we spend all those years highlighting and or dying our hair, and the most compliments are when it is natural!!!? Lol x

Lol I have curly, grey hair but my daughter had super straight, thin hair and I had no idea how to deal with it. I just wash mine and let it air dry. I haven’t brushed or combed my hair in years. The hard part about curly hair is finding someone who can just trim it. Luckily, my sons barber has curly hair and she trims it for me. Only once or twice a year now, thankfully. Thank you for sharing. I could listen to you all day. I don’t mass make because I just do this for me but I watch all of these while crafting so it doesn’t feel so lonely.

Tina, these videos are hugely successful!!! I am loving them. I actually work along with you. I’m crafting with my friend. Thank you for making the videos. By the way, what do you expect from a teenage boy....lol....they aren’t impressed with ANYTHING that we do. We are dull and boring....somehow we become that way when our children become teenagers.... Non crafty people don’t understand us either. Storing our pocket....I got a wonderful plastic totes. I would guess it’s about an 18”x18” and it has movable dividers. It is working great! I know that you don’t have the same craft stores in the UK, but I will try to find an equivalent online to send you a link.

I have worked along with you on the first 5 videos only using scrapbook paper this go around to use up some paper pads and scraps. I am only making the base pieces, no inking, corner rounding or decorating just blank bases. I have 3 dozen of each, coin envelopes, matchbooks, folding flips, folding pockets, and pockets. I am really enjoying crafting along with the videos.

My grand daughter has extremely curly hair. Hangs in tight ringlets. But she washes it every morning, combs it while wet & never touches it for the rest of the day or it would be a bushy mess. It hangs down her back wet but up to her shoulders when it drys. Her only solution is washing every morning & lots of hair products. Really like these booklets. Leave plain & decorate to go with journal it’s going in. 👍
@shabbydabbydoodah

Yes, it’s amazing how long curly hair is when wet isn’t it? I am impressed that your grand daughter manages to wear her hair loose, I think until my daughter can wash and maintain it herself, then plaits are definitely the way forward. Yes, leaving plain and decorating to complement your journal is fab x

Love this project I’m making ancestral journals for my family members. Got stuck and to keep moving forward I have been mass producing my tags, cards, flowers, post cards, etc. I’m storing them in the Tupperware like containers from the dollar tea. I figure I can close the containers when done but when working on my project I can stack them one on top of the other to keep my space clear on my desk. I don’t know if you have these stores where you live but the containers are great. Now I have one more project to make! Thanks

Hi. I learned to buy colors and patterns that really grabbed my attention. Then when making scrappy things it was easy to make cohesive and pretty things, quilts,clothes, flower arrangements etc. Used to drive my Mom crazy. I always make things in bulk because I have a very large family. I really like your videos and kits.

I love this series¡ I guess the number that I will prepare depends on my level of need and time and inspiration on the day I do them! I plan on pulling up these videos on those days and crafting along with you. I think I will store them in a family sized cereal bag from my hubby's finished breakfast cereal boxes! Lol! Love the strength and size and how I can easily both see through them, flatten them and love the crunchy sound they make as well as the fact that you can't tear them! I hope you will continue this series! As for 12 year-olds, everything seems boring to them at times!!!! Lol!

I love the idea of mass making - so clever!! I agree with you though- where will I put all of this stuff I am making to store it!! LOL I guess that is a good problem to have - honestly- because I see so many other artists also have a stash of things to easily bring out and add to a journal- perhaps embellish just for a certain journal- which is wonderful!!

On a personal note about your daughter's hair-- I have curly hair and hated my mother doing my hair as a child-- she would brush too hard and the curls do make it difficult as they will tangle more easily. Also, people with curly hair in our family have sensitive heads, too- so there could be an issue with that, too. There is a brush called "the wet brush"- which you don't really have to use when the hair is wet- and it is so much easier to brush through hair without tangles. Also- start from the bottom and brush out tangles, then go up about 6 inches and brush out tangles from the top down. I don't have a daughter, but my nieces all have one to use on their hair. It takes a lot of the drama out of the hair brushing in the mornings- so just a thought to look into one of those- not sure if you can get them in the UK, but it is so helpful!!

@@shabbydabbydoodah yes my peace was short im at work tomorrow also. Ive been real bad today stayed in my pjs and crafted. Im making good progress on my a5 journals. I have only done bare tn before and notebooks but i do make and sell emphera its the first time im actually putting it all together i thought id do 8 as i think it will get me more in the flow. Ive just gone for card covers ive used matt medium on them ive never used it before i need to try out gesso aswell so im going to do some envelopes like Andrea does. I made a load of those match box things do i just use them as writing spots are they stuck directly onto a page? I need a day of coffee staining i do find that such a chore so messy and time consuming. I think i had perms most of the 90s im the same with the hair dressers I've not been for a year i just put it up and forget about it but i am starting to look rather witch like when its down id rather go to the dentist if im honest hahaha

Thank you so much Lorraine, I am thrilled that you like my channel 🤗 . Thank you for the tip, I have just googled the Carol’s Daughter hair products, I might give them a try after her current detangler runs out, tfs x

I learnt about my curly hair recently... curly hair should never be brushed, only combed and only when it's wet. Here in tropical Australia that isn't a problem because hair drys in 30 min. Over there, especially in winter I am sure that is an issue. Plating sounds like a good idea!

Tina, do you put these in a pocket that is on a page or do you just place them in and allow them to be movable or do you actually glue them to a page?
@shabbydabbydoodah

You can do either, I have made a note to do some videos of using the items we are making x

On the ones with the fragile paper what if you folded and scored before you glued the music pages in?

Yes, that might work better, it’s a case of trial and error x

You could have folded your 2 pockets inwards.... And THEN folded it in half to match up the outer edges....rather than folding in half first...? On the fragile music sheet (on the green diagonal striped paper) just an idea that popped into my head as you were struggling to fold the second pocket to match the first. Anyhoo.... I'm a hairdresser! Yep really! Well not now, now i just do family and my own, I've cut my own hair since i was 14! And yeah, done all the perms, colours, cuts etc... One of the perks of working in a salon! Boring days, lack of customers, guaranteed one of us was gonna get transformed! Lol! Mine's short, can't do with long hair! Hate it! Mine's just like my pic

I can't remember if I had a cold, it's been a while since I filmed this. It might have been hay fever. Ah, a hairdresser, that explains your chattiness!!!! Although I find lot's of hairdressers very miserable, not that I've been to one for years, but when I have been in the past, they weren't very chatty. Supposed to be though, so you must have been one of the good ones!!! Lol. I do use Pantene for my daughter (and me), and I do have a paddle brush for her, so at least I am doing a couple of things right!!! Lol. Just little plaits are the way to go for her and me I think, just done once a week, and then just left alone!!!!! Exciting stuff...….what you're working on x
