Tina, I marvel at your efficiency - you always cut the paper just close enough, or trim in a straight line. I have to use my trimmer to get a straight line, not my scissors! I don’t think it’s boring at all to watch you craft (I most often watch when I can’t sleep in the middle of the night), but I was frustrated with you over your stuck glue. Thanks for doing this series. 😊

I started watching the video making and eating breakfast this morning. I had to finish watching it and then it was time for a nap. Now its time to cook dinner and I have no time tonight to work on any projects. Yesterday a friend called and needed help with a project for her daughter's graduation party. I cut out 100 5 x7 cards with another card on top to write in a album. I did this for her before and it took me all evening to get them done. I like that I can do stuff like that at the last moment and help out. Now I will be getting back to my list. :)

I am so enjoying these “Mass Making” tutorials!, I started out earlier today cutting and trimming several digital kits that I have been hoarding. I have several altered journals going and I can not get into decorating them because I have to stop and cut out as I went so I went on a mass making journey on my own. I remembered that you had these tutorials and I started watching you. I watched and listened for awhile and then I started making one of each thing that you made, for future reference! I would never remember otherwise!, so far I have 2 pockets and am now making several of each. I am just doing the basics on each one. Thank You for taking the time to do these. I am loving them.

I was mass making Christmas gift tags, which I give out early as a pre-season gift so family and friends can use them on their gifts. I never have time to make as many as I want, so this year I vowed to start way early. I'm also desperately trying to use up at least SOME of the scraps, leftovers - both papers and embellishments, bits and bobs that float around my desk year after year. I've made a lot, but so far, I can't see much of a dent, either! That's discouraging, but I'm pressing on. I have so many things started right now, I can't bear to pull out anything else for mass making, but once I can finish a few things, I want to rewatch this series, and make the things you're showing. Thanks for doing this, and hugs from hot, sticky, humid Florida, where it's NOT looking like Christmas at all, unless you count the Christmas explosion in my craft room - YIKES!!

Ditch the glue ...you’re way more patient than I. Sometimes you use hot glue and e6000 which is the bomb, because e6000 is amazing, and while the E6 is drying the hot glue is keeping it where you want it to stay.Point is you can love many glues and not feel disloyal. But, not all glues react the same with everything else, like an antisocial teenager. Being I’m a newbee I have had a talk with my E6000 and told him that I’m no replacing him, FABRI-FIX is just my tennis instructor. I learned a lot thank you. Still don’t know how you don’t need a paper cutter... IIIIIIIILIKEIT ,

I’m into the bulk method as it’s a chance to stretch your imagination. I’m like you I have things but nothing I can you in my journal I’m making. I get all excited and make pocket holders but I don’t stop and think about a journal but a creation lol. So I’m down loading my paper first. The circus was outlawed here in the USA since clowns are out. There are people in a group that says that its cruelty for the animals. Nobody stopped to think about all those people losing their ability to work in their trade. Now it’s more circus Olé

Yes I know what you mean Sherry, hopefully making the basic items but leaving the decorating will be a good compromise and prove useful. We don’t have animals allowed in circuses either, and the ones that I have been to don’t have clowns either, instead just super talented people x

Lovely pockets! I have so much scrappaper, I am cutting up for wééks now. But the end is close. What I do with scrappaper aswell. Cut pieces in 8x12 , than scor them at 8x6 and fold. the nicer side inside I than glue them with gluestick together. I leave about 1 centimeter unglued . I do this with about 40 sheets sticking together. The result is a beautiful 8x6 album , every page another design , strong paper and the great thing: every page you work on is completly flat because you did not glue to the end. When I am done I make the cover with two pieces of chipboard and paper . Pitty I dont make videos anymore, the result is so beautiful and very good to use up that old scrappaper. Especially the one sided papers.
@tamielizabethallaway2413
@tamielizabethallaway2413 4 жыл бұрын
Sounds interesting! You mean stack them one on the other, like a pile of cards, glue the not so pretty sides, have the pretty side inside each fold... Yes? Then the spine is multiple page edges stacked up which you cover. Can you explain what you mean by not glueing to the edge...? Leave a centimetre where??? 😘😘😘
@WilmaVoermans
@WilmaVoermans 4 жыл бұрын
@@tamielizabethallaway2413 Yes, I mean it that way... the centimeter you have to leave out is at the spine side. Just run the gluestick at 1 centimeter from the spine across and than glue the whole page. Really good at the corners for a good look. I am now doing one with my piles of cardstock I have . I also made one with watercolor paper. They work so great, really . And they can expand really good. When I am finished I dont have a crocodille mouth journal :)
@WilmaVoermans
@WilmaVoermans 4 жыл бұрын
And when you cut up the paper you are left with a 4x6 piece, I use them for background and paperpieces, pockets etc
@tamielizabethallaway2413
@tamielizabethallaway2413 4 жыл бұрын
@@WilmaVoermans aha! So the spine is the unglued bit, corners are well and truly stuck, and the spine remains somewhat movable ... I just thought of an extra way of binding that... You could thread ribbons or twine between each glued page in the unglued spine strip, leave them hanging out a good few inches top and bottom, make a cover, and then tie the ribbons on the outside of the spine so they're all dangling and full and fluffy!
@tamielizabethallaway2413
@tamielizabethallaway2413 4 жыл бұрын
^^^ Totally unnecessary, but a nice decoration option, although it would also add extra strength to the book attaching to the spine... Just a thought that popped into my head 😊😊😊

Hi Tina I was finishing off an altered notebook, just the covers for my sister. My house is a one bedroom and I sleep in my lounge /studio with a big open kitchen. My grandson has the bedroom on holidays and I prefer to sleep here in my 'room' 😊 l I love having all my stuff around me. The space is large enough. I watch KZfaq on my TV. So, I have been sitting on my sofa bed putting a few finishing touches on the notebook. Big poppies and butterflies 🦋 on the front with a couple of pockets and a hidden pocket between the cover and the paper. I put a string of very fine pearls I have from some costume jewellery from my mum. We'll, you said you'd like to imagine us in our spaces 😅 I'm working on the sofa because my massive desk is a mess 🤣 but I do have a lot of projects on the go: two shabbychic journals, the notebook and an acrylic whimsical portrait done in mixed media. I'm still waiting to see your desk! I'll show you mine if you show me yours 😉😅😂

@@shabbydabbydoodah in theory, yeah you'd think... But the last few years have taken their toll on me physically and emotionally. First our son Oliver died from chickenpox aged 5½. Then i was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, spinal disc degeneration, gallstones, a number of gynaecological conditions and most recently Crohn's disease! Plus have depression, and the way I feel about myself makes me even more depressed! I have gained tons of weight, take 25 pills every morning and more during the day, can't hardly walk far or do half the things i used to do! I'm finding it especially hard to come to terms with the enormous difference in me now, compared to who i was. My confidence is literally shot to shit and I hate no longer being fit and energetic. I had danced since i was 3, and now i can manage about 2 minutes and have to stop from pain. If my hands or wrists are playing up even crafting can be interrupted! So depressing isn't it, just hearing about it! Nobody wants to tune into that! I wouldn't want my subscribers slashing their wrists! 😂😂😂 Have to laugh or I'd start crying half the time and never stop! I love your new triple pocket thingy (paper hat fold), I can't remember the last time a crafter showed us something totally new and original! So many tutorials now feature stuff being made with your kits!!! Didn't i tell you a few thousand subscribers ago, that your popularity would soon soar!!!? When you made that video doubting yourself, I said it's only a matter of time before the rest of KZfaq starts catching on! You and Gi Kerr are my top favourite crafters, and yours are definitely my favourite digis! There's many that i love, probably around 10-15 that I really love, but you're at the top! I love how humble you are, i love your very English self deprecating nature, although it makes me wanna yell "are you mad woman?" when you doubt yourself. I love how you keep your language in check, despite occasionally I sense you micro pause and find a more appropriate word than the one that I think you would naturally have said without the camera running! But it shows that it matters to you to come across professional, that you have integrity and not just filming to find KZfaq fame or earn money for nothing! Anyway, I'm waffling... I'm a waffler! Can't help myself! Still have my school reports from when i was little "spends too much time chatting" " she's a chatterbox" etc! At least that side of me is consistent! 😘😘😘

Still thinking that this is a terrific idea, because although I have a six quart storage box stuffed with finished tags, corner tucks , playing cards, envelopes, pockets, pouches, etc..invariably when filling a journal there's always something to make on the spot isn't there?!! So having some undecorated essentials readied is a terrific idea! Thanks for sharing!

Tina, I don't think I've ever seen you use a paper trimmer. You always cut with scissors. Is there a reason why you don't use one, besides the fact that it looks like it would slow you down? I can't cut a straight line to save my life so I stand in awe of your confident cutting skills. ~ Lisa
@shabbydabbydoodah
@shabbydabbydoodah 4 жыл бұрын
I haven't used a paper trimmer for a really long time. Combination of reasons really. I have really struggled to find one that I am happy with, yes it would slow me down, and they are really big and cumbersome to use, especially on video. I always use those big scissors from Ikea, and they really help with the cutting x
@LB-vl3qn

@@shabbydabbydoodah Another rec for those IKEA scissors. Maybe they are the answer to my cutting woes. Those are all good reasons not to use a trimmer, Tina. You're killing it without one. I salute you.

I love this tutorial but I'm wondering why you don't do contrasting... like the polka dots and the swirl.... instead of doing it all polka dots on one side, turn the paper over and use the contrasting side for added depth. Craft on!! Love your channel 🥰
