This is not natural soap and it has low quality because they use base soap which is already the "soap" itself. They just add some more things into the base soap like scent and all... That's why no saponification and the finished product is really hard, not like the soap made from oils and going through saponification process, which is easy to melt and better for the skin.
@coconutgelato7459
@coconutgelato7459 6 ай бұрын
For this type of product, a firmer bar is better though. They were producing a bar with tea tree oil and AHA+BHA+PHA. You would want a bar that is firmer and less likely to turn to mush for the purpose of using this as a chemical exfoliation product with good shelf life for the stability of the actives. Putting those actives in the type of cold process soap you described would result in a bar that is (a) prone to becoming mushy and compromising the stability of the acids and (b) too oily to use as a good cleansing agent for the exact purpose this soap is intended for: degreasing sebum and delivering a/b/p hydroxy acids to chemically exfoliate the skin. Furthermore, adding all those targeted active ingredients directly to the cold process mix would cause the exfoliating acids to decompose with the NaOH (and KOH) and would lower the pH of the soap mix resulting in incomplete saponification and a less stable and reliable product. Using a pre-saponified base is the right choice. 💁‍♀️

The soaps have AHA+BHA+PHA. They have to be packaged to maintain the stability of the acids. If the bars were not in moisture loss preventing packaging, the stability of the active ingredients would be compromised. It could dry out and concentrate and the acids could then become too overly harsh on the skin or just fully decompose and become useless for its purpose.

An alternative view is that having people involved in what is generally considered human endeavour makes a product which is differentiated from the output of soulless full automation. A second order effect is that having people in the production process results in the development of expertise, which is an investment of knowledge in the human. The point of life isn't to remove all the living components from the system.

@haitchteeceeeightnineeight5571 7 ай бұрын
@@wedding_photography I probably would be able to tell the difference by inspecting them, but that's sort of beside the point of what I was getting at. The act of making the soap, and in so doing producing from the effort and intellect of a human an artefact intended to be used by a human is valuable in itself. The more things I've learnt to make, the more useful and fulfilled I've grown to feel about my life. Of my peers, those who're teaching themselves to create things themselves are having a similar experience. Sure, I can build machines to remove most of my personal involvement from the things I create at work and in my personal life, but that would rob me of the satisfaction of filling out the range of capabilities and experiences I cultivate during the brief period of time my biological processes result in the thing I call existence.
