I want to let you know that you've helped me help others with a soothing voice. I'm a nurse and starting IV's on terrified patients can be challenging. I've started using your soft spoken inspiration to help calm them, while softly rubbing their arm and have them close their eyes while asking them to breathe slowly. I've found speaking in an almost whisper helps relax them. Amazing results! Thank you for your inspiration! In 14 years of nursing, until I started watching your videos and experiencing the relaxation myself, I have never been able to achieve the calming effect with people. Thank you!

Payton Altum Thanks for your advice, It's kind of you to give me your point of view but my life is not all black, I'm happy, I have a hobby, I have things that make my life a wonderful life ( for exemple, I am not living Under a bridge or I'm not living in a war zone ) and I'm thankful for that but I just wanted to show to Maria how much she could touch people's lives and how much she was a support to me and I'm sure a lot of others to. I learned something with this latest upload, but not about massage therapy; I now know why viewers flock to your channel, and why you are the center of the ASMR community: you have a gentle and nurturing spirit that seeks for opportunities to uplift and comfort others. When I watch your video segments I feel that I am not being provided with something, I am being given something. . Your presentation on giving a hand massage (my go-to video), and this presentation showing the techniques learned for your certification, cause my personal attention trigger to hum. It is the look of peace in your eyes that shows fulfillment in giving something of yourself to another, and the touch of your hands that is the outward expression of this desire to be of service. . In this time of uncertainty that makes a person wonder what has gone so wrong with the world, it is nice to have a place where people can find rest, and to be reminded that love still exists in the quiet places.

***** Nothing said that wasn't true. Skim up and down this long chain of comments - I cannot find a single negative remark - it is like an old-fashioned hippie love-in! . One of my daughters was a certified therapist (an injury has made it too painful for her to continue) so I have had some prior experience watching other therapists in action. There is 'a touch' that gets the kinks to release and bring relief to sore muscles, and there is 'THE touch', the one that heals first then brings comfort second. . The gentle follow-up at the end of your demonstration wasn't there because a textbook taught you to do that, it was there because you knew it was exactly what he was wishing for, a light touch and the tingle of sharp nails tickling his skin. (maybe that sounds a little weird, but I can't think of a better way to say it) . It is possible to teach techniques to anyone who wants to learn, but insight, compassion and the desire to offer help, or even just a kind word, comes from within.

ebolaoutkast I disagree that my negative comment is a fantasy. There is nothing in my perception of current events that includes rainbows, unicorns, wizards and talking animals! My view may be inaccurate, or even delusional, but certainly not a fantasy. It would be nice, though, if we could call on Elrond, Galadriel and Gandalf to fix everything before sailing to the Undying Lands. . Of course the state of affairs is subjective. There have always been wars, hunger, disease, oppression, and other nasty things to bring misery to the masses. As communication improves, these things are shoved in our faces with ever increasing speed. Listening to the evening news is like drinking from a fire hose. . I am convinced, however, that bad news begets more bad news. The real-time delivery of negative reality creates a significant amount of FUD (fear - uncertainty - despair). An excess of FUD results in a great deal of conflict and confusion. . I cannot remember another moment in our history where the people were so sharply divided as they are now, and I lived through the turmoil of the 60's. It is depressing to realize that, for all of the protests about Vietnam, Civil Rights issues, and Cold War paranoia, there was still a greater effort at collaboration in government and social affairs than what we have today. . In that spirit I say that things are wrong with the world, and are becoming more wrong with each passing day. If we want to reverse this trend then we need to stop shouting at each other, watch a few ASMR videos, then agree to work together instead of against each other.

I've been a follower of Maria for a couple of years now. Her relaxation therapy is priceless and very valuable to me. I have come to find that at different times, certain videos are more effective in the relaxing, tingle category than others. It just depends on which video is working for me at the time, For the longest time it was the "cards", then the" relaxing hair play". Recently this video is working best for me! Your touch and gentle voice and one of a kind mannerisms are priceless! Thank you Maria!

I've been watching your videos for about 3 years and haven't commented or told you how much your videos mean to me. I've had a terrible time falling asleep my whole life. And I passed this problem on to my first son :( when i stumbled upon your videos suddenly he and I were able to fall asleep while listening to your voice. I lay with him in his bed when he's unable to sleep and we Listen to you. You're the only ASMR artist that we listen to. I feel like you are a part of out family. My son sometimes even takes my phone and happily asks for "Maria". You are a very kind and beautiful lady. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for these videos. I have unfortunately never experienced ASMR, but I watch these videos because I find them very relaxing and they help me fall asleep. I decided to watch this video on my computer rather than on my phone in bed and immediately began to fall asleep at my desk lol Thank you Maria for all of these amazing videos. They are great, even for those who do not experience ASMR.

I'm almost the same way. I do experience ASMR but only mildly and it's pretty hard to trigger it. But I too find these types of videos just relaxing. If you haven't already, I recommend OliviaKissperASMR for more of the same.

Maria, thank you so much for being who you are! I'm 13 and I love watching your videos. (Though from what I can tell most of the community is made up of young adults-adults.) I come back to this video often because it’s so magical to me. Maria’s videos finally put a name to my ASMR experience and I’ve realized that one thing that triggers me beyond sounds and voices in general is her explanations of things. I’ve typically experienced tingles in educational settings and I find that hearing Maria explain things or teach lessons results in some of the most easily accessible tingling for me. Thanks for the lovely work as always!!

I find it very ironic that the two people I exclusively watch now are both Maria and Dmitri. I discovered both independently and thought they were both great, and its funny to find out they are fans of each other and like each others work. I would love to know if you ever establish your own practice since I am in Maryland. As a nurse, I am stressed so much, found your site here long ago, and your voice and videos are so therapeutic for sleep after a long shift, since I'm so unable to sleep properly and many times its during the day. You genuinely seem to focus on the health and comfort of people and have a kind spirit. You have been such an amazing help to my sleep issues. I'm sure you'll make an amazing massage therapist.
