@@802Farmers nice, we had an 8220 it caught fire 6-5 yrs back, was 160 at the shaft so it was a bit fitter than it should have been. Sisu engines seem to be better than the Perkins when getting up to that hp.

That sucks. I agree. I’m not a big fan of the Perkins but sisu is a great engine. Haven’t had any complaints with ours. You can really push some power out of them if you want too.

I have a 6713, I have the block heater, oil pan heater, and a battery blanket, it can be hard to start in a Montana winter. Once it running its great

It sure it. Yes, this 8480 starts really good because it has the rail injection system. The other 8480 starts like a cold blooded mule 😂 but you can’t have everything. Great hearing you like the videos 👍🏻

@@802Farmers the one with the vp44 starts hard?

Yah the other one has that fuel pump in it. It isn’t bad from spring to fall but we have found that fuel pump system starts harder in cold temperatures. Must be why there switch to rail injection in the newer models.

@@802Farmers I have one with the vp44 and I have no issues in 15 degree weather without being plugged in. Do you like the one with the common rail better?

Our is strange. Sometimes it’s like how you say starts fine and others times it’s like it lets all the fuel run back. And takes forever to start. We personally like the rail way better because the one 8480 has it and the 7495 has it. Both start in any conditions and the one with normal fuel pump system gives us trouble every now and then.

Love the sound of an emissions free 8.4 L👌🏻. Those are nice tractors too for sure

Yah it does. I love the sound of this tractor and that’s factory. It is a sizu engine but personally I don’t think you can beat the sound of a Cummins N14 celect hitting jakes 😄.

It is a normal silage blade. We don’t plow roads with it. Just our normal driveways. We know where all the holes or thing that we can hit are. We haven’t had too many issues over the years.

This rail injection on the new Massey’s start very good in the cold.

then you have a problem whit your JD bc our start super easy in winter here in norway xd and we have no issue fireing up our JD 6920s in -30 celsius

Never fun. Only makes for more work when it cold and snowing.

I would more than happily give you our snow. Haha. This makes it a lot harder to work in the woods.

@@pfisterfarms1046 I am not a fan of the cold either. Farmers are kick ass. I buy local or at least try to find out where it is made. It helps living in the cheese county of the US.

Yes, almost all our tractors we get recently are European spec’d. They drive a lot faster 😂. And are much cheaper

@@802Farmers very nice and very surprising about the price! It was my big bug bear, when I used to work with custom harvest crews and farms was the fact that the tractors always looked ‘half built’! No big rear mud guards, no big super sized tyres tyres (unless on big articulated tractors) and no beacons. Really nice and it looks great.

Good luck with your own farm in the future. I don’t think we will be selling the 8480 anytime in the near future. Haha
