Welcome to the video! Today we are shopping and putting together all the food we need for our big summer road trip to South Dakota. We are biking the 109 mile Mickelson Trail as a family and with Grandma, so it should be a good time and not really around other people. I hope you enjoy this prep video and grocery haul and I will see you on the other side of the trip!

I have used the king size sheets from Sams for about 10 years. I love them. I only use one set at a time. I take them off, launder, and put them back on the bed. No folding or in my case wadding up fitted sheets. I am on my third set, but one did not have anything wrong with them. I just changed colors. Occasionally they put them on sale closer to the holidays.

You can get outdoor furniture covers for each piece of your furniture because yes, your weather will be hard on that furniture! My daughter keeps hers covered all the time unless they are using it! Especially the pillows - if they continually get wet, they can mildew! Wow about the no milk and cereal! My kids would have revolted! But they liked milk and it was good for them! I didn’t drink it but I still bought it for them!

$540. Thanks for sharing that Dave has psoriasis and that he uses that CBD body butter on his knees. I have psoriatic arthritis, diagnosed way too late. Please talk Dave into talking with Dr. about knee pain and to not blow it off as ”exercised too much”. Early treatment makes a huge difference (think Mickelson). I was a competitive skater and blew it off as getting older. Wrong choice. I'm anxious to try the butter for my "skater's knees" (yeah, right!). Thanks for being a hoot.

I’ve been using native deodorant for 2 years now and I love it. I’ve tried others but this feels the best and goes on easy. It does take a few weeks to get used to if switching from an antiperspirant. Always pack an extra one with you when working out or throughout the day just in case. Oh and a little goes a long way. Enjoy 😊

I'm so excited for your trip! I discovered the Mickelson Trail just a few weeks before you mentioned it and can't wait to see your account! When I look for a bread outlet near me... all that comes up are fancy bakeries.. :) don't want to add too much to your packing list.. but if you have car support an electric skillet might com in handy

Love your videos! First, star crunch. I grew up with these....loved to put them in the freezer. Just watch you don’t break your teeth. Second, iced oatmeal is just awesome! Third, patio furniture. I think it was high for the quality. Wooden or metal would probably last longer. I have metal and they look great. Bought them in 2006. Fourth, I have those sheets. They have lasted me many years! Love them. I would buy them again. Expensive but worth it.

We used to have a bread outlet here and used to go there when my kids were small but as we live in the west end and it was in the east end. googled it last year and they are closed it was a weston bread outlet. I just look for bread on sale or marked down. Never seen those little debbie star crunch ones but I have seen the oatmeal ones here in canada we don't get all the variety as you do in the states

Those sheets from Sam's are my favorite. They need to be washed a few times before the first use to make them soft but they have a Fantastic thick elastic that goes all the way around so they stay on the bed.

I remember star crunches... we rarely had them. But they are sooo good! I remember my neighbor always had them along with Orange and Purple tang to drink.

I buy sheets at Marshall’s. They’re good quality, cheap, and I’ve been able to find some cute patterns. My current sheets are covered in small purple dragonflies and I love them.

Target Threshold sheets are the BEST sheets I've had. They have a super awesome corner pockets on their fitted sheets that guarantee it won't pop off, they wash up really well and I find them very reasonably priced! 😊

Yes you have to have winter covers, and Yes it's very expensive, keep eyes open for bargains on the outdoor furniture you looked at. Sheets anything @ 400 thread count and over is good sheets.

Target percale sheets=heaven. Don't pay attention to the thread count--the cotton is woven differently I guess? They feel amazing and they hold up so well!!!

I love buying sheets from Zulily. You can get high quality sheets from there in a King Size most of the time for about 1/2 that price. I buy them for both our bed and have bought several sets for our daughter who is you married too. I think you spent about $297.

Love costco sheets, and I agree our grocery stores have wipes and costco gets them about once every 2 days and run out by noon most days.

Even though it seems expensive, it is still cheaper than eating out. It is great that you can control the healthy items. Also, those pretzel crisps are fantastic with hummus.

Hiawatha trail!! I did it about a month ago now, and let me tell you. It's beautiful. I found out I'm claustrophobic though going through the first tunnel. It's over a mile long and you *cannot* see anything that your bike light doesn't shine on. Add in it being wet and cold, it was awful. Other than that though, Hiawatha Trail is a trip I'd definitely recommend.

Hope you enjoy your trip to SD. I live in the beautiful Black Hills....you'll be surprised at how many people are actually here in the summer. We are getting quite a bit of tourist traffic just because SD is "open" right now. Excited to see your video of the trip!

Might be different where you’re going, but I will say to definitely prepare for places not offering continental breakfasts and restaurants having no public access to restrooms. This is what happened to me when I went out more recently, as well as, some restaurants switching to a buffet style instead of a limited menu.
