During lockdown my family purchased two bunches of bananas. One bunch to eat the 1st week and one bunch went into stasher bags and placed in the freezer for smoothies for the 2nd week. It reduced our grocery shopping to twice a month. Enjoying this change i decided to continue this shopping style even after lockdown. Stasher bags are great for the freezer. We enjoyed your declutter!

I loved this so much. I Love organization, but at age 74, there are soooo many memories in things. It is so hard, but I am whittling it down. Thanks for the inspiration. We just moved from a Large Texas house to a Much Smaller house in St Louis. So, third sweep through.

Some needy people will be the recipients of these surplus items and you should be very proud of both your organization project plus your generous donations.

It’s good that you were able to find space to stack your plates sizes separately. My kitchen is smaller so I use a three tiered rack that fits one size plate per shelf. Another option for those with more limited storage

Those coffee mugs that come with a set. The last time we got a set of dishes (which we did need), I immediately donated the coffee cups that came with it. I knew we'd never use them.

That's a good idea! I feel like donating most of them. I have my favorite mugs that I always use (as does nearly everyone in the family) but I don't want to share those when I have company ;) LOL.

I did this problem last Summer and got rid of things that were no longer used, broken, or no lids. Today I realized I have so many sets of Lock and Lock from QVC. There are two of each and I don’t have the storage space so I need to pare them down to one of each to save space.

In the baking drawer that was an egg white separater. Also the cool looking pitcher is a wine decanter. It’s typically measured perfectly to pour in a standard 450 ml wine bottle:)

This was super inspiring and motivating for me! I revisited my kitchen drawers and was able to pull more things to declutter even tho I declutter like last week. I guess I wasn’t realistic then. Thank you so much! I’ll keep revisiting the rest of my cabinets, I’ve been ruthless and very realistic today. Love from Uruguay!🇺🇾

This is the first time I've watched you and really enjoyed it so I'm subscribing. I liked how you explained your thought process and the fact you were able to let go of so much! Since I became a minimalist almost 4 years ago Its been in stages over time, so I can't remember everything. I know I would declutter much more except my husband likes to keep more than me. However just today I talked him into an experiment of not using our knife block on the counter since it now only has a few knives in it. So I'm trying out having them in the drawer which is not so convenient, so said my husband . I said well then lets keep everything on the counter because it is more convenient! You do get used to new places for storage.

I hate drinking glasses! I don’t like to use them, I prefer mugs no matter the beverage, or my water bottle. We got rid of ALL our drinking glasses, reduced our mugs down to three and my husband also has a set of nesting cups (ours are metal) and that’s it! 🍺 🍹 🥤

Oh my goodness! I know that everyone has to do what works for them so I'm not criticizing or anything like that. I about died laughing though when you said you didn't need more than 4 pots/pans because you can't fit more than that on the stove, lol. I have 2 full sets and can't tell you how many times they have all been dirty (we are a large family). I completely understand that your goals/lifestyle are different than mine and everyone's situation dictates their needs. You just made me laugh so many times through this video. I would cry if I had to downsize to what you had left. It is not uncommon for us to use 4 or more 9x13 glass pans at a time or make 2+ pots of soup (especially if we are having anyone over on top of our own nuclear family). So I would panic at getting rid of that much cookware, lol. I am glad for you though that it makes you happy to trim down your things to fit your new place & adventure! :)

@@ThisandNat LOL! That is one thing I'd definitely say get rid of! I have one (two?) but never use them. I either separate using the eggshell or just my hand. Even my kids have been taught to do it with the shell or their hand.

Ok, have to ask why you kept the specialty ice cream bowls over fridge if you don’t eat ice cream at home? Great declutter video though, will have to go look for the one before this. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone get rid of this much from a kitchen that was pretty good to start! I like how you talk through it versus just a fast forward watching you de-clutter.
