I got a 2011 TWR James New In box (has learning curve logos), and I plan to keep him in the box! 10:18 as ak id, I sharpied some buffers on most of my engines! 14:28 I almost bought oner of those in early 2012 when a store was going out of business (ended up buying the boulder Mountain Track Pack). I think it's one of the few road destinations that would've worked better as a railroad trackside structure (I'm surprised it didn't get a repaint around 2007 to fit in with the Recycling Center) 38:53 I had that one as a kid, and the paint came off way more than my other TWR engines 45:39 some Target exclusives were later sold at other stores, some even keeping the sticker (Take Along Neville, Molly, and TnP Talking Flynn for example). Also once at Target, I saw two Toyrs R Us exclusive Thomas and the Bee Car. 54:46 I don't think we ever saw that number plate in the show (Bachmann's Skarloey has it) 57:20 I also thought this would've worked better as a rail destination since Fergus works there I too also bought two 6/12 inch switches back in 2010 because I had a shortage of FFM switches. 1:17:24 even the smiling face on the rare take along D10 looks better than this one (it has more wrinkles)! You are quite brave to take these out of their original boxes, like that Sir Handel, switches, and Diesel!

The dates on toys are often just when the molds were created. The Mattel WWE belts all have the year of when they were first made on the strap, so if it’s used on a 2020 toy it will still say 2011 for example. Thomas trains were pretty unique in that they would change the years on the wheels. That usually doesn’t happen

Here's a funny story when I was a kid about the Scrap Lorry. When I was a kid I only ever saw the Scrap Yard in a pamphlet. The image of the lorry was so small I legit thought the radiator on the front was a face! Since the headlights are attached to it like the Horrid Lorries, I also thought it was a "Lorry 4". 😅

Didn’t realise just how detailed the 2011/2012 version of Sir Handel was, I’ve got the 2008 version of him. Though the front part of it with the face and funnel isn’t exactly centred in the middle it’s kinda just of to the side which is weird.

I am sure you have seen other's comments, but you can rotate the cement lorry's bucket so the hole faces up. You align it with the bottom of the destination, push down, and boom, loaded cement lorry. Still a very weird, 1-off destination, but it does work

I can’t tell the HO scale versions apart but I think they just put the same locomotive in different packaging. Guess manufacturers take lazy shortcuts. So this should have been Bert in your set? Double error or lazy manufacturing? I like weird stuff. I would buy that. Lol
