Huddersfield may well win tomorrow however us beating Southampton us another matter. Ipswich haven't bottled it yet..they have embraced it drew at Hull beat Coventry but the pressure will be on them.

We need to stop overrating players, rodon being one of them. Before joining us last summer, he had only made around 100 senior league apperances in his entire club career at 26 years of age. I understand inflation, but £15m is too steep at this level. Rodon gives off massive Pontus Jansson vibes, hes a big strong defender who will block and head everything in sight. But hes very limited, crumbles under a press and looks very static, even at this level. Jansson was a good signing as we stole him from an italian side as i remember following his loan. But rodon would not be a steal at all. So im not sure on it at all. He is basically a 26 year old version of Charlie Cresswell, yet most seem to think Cresswell is crap and Rodon is Baresi 🤔🤦‍♂️🤣 Even though they both share the same attributes and the same flaws.

@EllandRoar84 Farke was talking about Sam Morsey and others compared to our squad. We have a great squad but we only have Bamford and Kamara who are older heads with experience at this time of the season.

Ahh yes what farke needs is aging league one midfielders in their 30s that Ipswich got on free transfers because they were stuck on the bench at Middlesbrough… give me a break 😆

@Robertl-xz6yl it was a generalised comment as Kamara is 28 and has champion league and European experience and Bamford is around 30 not sure how old Roberts 🤔 is but you get what I'm saying . Merseyside and Luongo were just examples. 😜

I’m sure that if good experienced players were available, Leeds would have maybe tried to get them in, IF THEY WERE AVAILABLE!! There is absolutely no doubt that we are lacking real experience. How this is not understandable says it all !!

It’s really tough, Farke will have probably overachieved the targets in terms of wins and points etc. just not the end result of automatic promotion. If we weren’t to go up I would still be confident for next season if we were to sell Summerville and Meslier (if there’s still a market for him) that should keep us in a good financial position and let us buy a few complimentary pieces for the squad. Lets hope this new group can perform better in the playoffs than their predecessors.

I wouldn't go over the odds for him though...🤔 He's been brilliant for us this season 👌👍 For me if we don't get promoted this season it would be a fail im afraid...😫😩😢😥😰 We had the team to do it & we've messed it right up...🤮🤢 Ive said before our playoff record is terrible...😥😢 Farke really has to put more faith in some of the other players sitting on the bench in the playoff campaign..🙏 He's got to play Joseph too...😩😫🙏

I think Rodon is good value at £15m. Its alright suggesting other players but you also have to factor in we know Rodons character and fit in the team and you have to build in risk that other players we might know their character and fit. That alone is worth a few million.

We should be looking at Ronnie Edwards from Posh as a defensive replacement. Much better value than Rodon and a higher ceiling.

We must NOT overpay for Roden. There will be other options. Bamford needs to be offloaded on a free transfer this Summer. It is impossible to build a side around someone as injury prone as him. If we are still in the Championship next season then we need to raid other Championship clubs for their influential players such as Kenny McClean at Norwich. Recruit down the spine of the the team centre forward, centre midfield, centre half and goalkeeper.
