It always starts with a promise. Never promise unless you're promising to purchase the companions box set. I started again in 2020. It began with a promise. A promise to only do Warhammer underworlds. Small warbands, 3 to 5 models per band. Lots of painting varieties plus a self contained small game. Several months later. I had all the underworlds box sets I could find plus 15 extra warbands. The following year I had all the kill team I could get my hands on. A dark angels army, a genestealer cults army, admec, crimson slaughter chaos marine. All at various stages and terrain so much terrain. I'm seeing a counsellor 😂

I know how you feel. My first space marine army was a mess! But, consider the potential you have in them, and don't get yourself down!

Thanks! Ezekiel is vallejo Electric blue with an all-over wash of GW gulliman blue glaze. (that's no longer in production, so just substitute a GW contrast paint or blue shade)

I'm just so glad that I never got into primaris ...it just doesn't work for me ..lost their identity ...they mimic well but ... Still you can't deny the great kit bashing,conversion and painting 👍

A LOT of flavor was lost in the transition, but thankfully, companies like greytide studios are stepping up the plate and making amazing stl packs that add the theming back in! Check out my Space wolf videos!

LoL. Yeah, I had painted two rhinos, a land raider and 4 drop pods for my previous firstborn army and just didn't feel like doing any more vehicles. Plus, I don't really like the design of any of the primaris vehicles.

There was NO planning in that first army I built! It started with Black Reach and I simply added whatever I thought looked cool, or I could get for cheap on ebay! LOL

:) I don't do firstborn! (which certainly takes some of the flavor from the army) but I kitbash what I can. If you look closely, every marine has something from the DA veterans kit, or ravenwing upgrade kit. And there ARE Ravenwing in there! (I've only just started, so there are three).
