The reason your machine goes home every time is because you told it to in your post. The machine will move where the code says it must. If the code says G0G28X0Y0, that's where the machine will go. You can change that somewhere in post where it handles "After every tool change" strings or settings, just # the line out. Otherwise remove it manually from your Gcode file after every M06TXX.

I want to add this type of dust shoe setup onto my machine. Is it possible for you to do a video on the dust choke and tool cover setup?

Hi there I have a customer machine that I'm converting with the Masso that looks exactly like the machine you have (procam) . Just wondering if you had an issue with the tool changer where it won't take the tool from the rack after already putting existing tool back and moving over to pick up new tool? It clamps onto the new tool sits there for a few seconds and then un clamps it and then errors out. Masso support seem out to lunch for the last few days so I'm desperate to get this working.

Nice setup. Any bugs in the controller or any consistent errors? I might use masso for my next cnc lathe build. I have used ddcsv 4 axis control for a router and it’s very stable but lacks features like tool change and cutter compensation. Masso has got it all i guess. I am guessing i can write a macro to control a pneumatic turret for a lathe. Just concerned how stable the control is. Plus i like the fact that it requires no CPU , just a screen and keyboard to run.

Came along this vid searching for masso controller, it raised a question to me, is this router a self build or a retrofit of some kind ? Thanx for sharing anyhow !

your G code on the program is incremental so is have go to home (know) position to run next block.

Madaboutcnc, enjoyed the clip. l have a masso on my machining centre and my knee mill. When l do a tool change machine goes to tool change position for my machine and then continues with program, do not have machine going to home position. Could this be a problem with your g code rather than the masso.l dont know enough about code however could you have a G27 or G28 after T?M6 where the machine is going to a reference point before continuing? Am on the forum, Peter35 and in Melbourne.

This is most likely in the Vectric post processor, in the begin tool change section, probably doing an XY home move at the start of this section.

Machine zero. Sure it's not the material setup in VCP?

this is the problem with your g-code please check the, M-commands at every coordination (g code) you have to choose appropriate cam and post processor or check with masso for matching post processor.
