Not sure if you did, but I'd leave access behind that freeze free valve. I'd also have a shut off valve before it. I've had one freeze and bust. I close the shut off valve in the winter for extra protection now.

Yes we will have decent access to these in a small linen closet next to the shower. Shut off valve is a great idea, thanks!

Hi. New to all this diy stuff. Was curious why he didn’t use the water proofing liquid on top of the board before putting the tile up. Thanks.

He said it isn't necessary with this hardi backer board. I had originally bought the water proofing membrane and he told me to return it.

You didn't mention any inspections on the plumbing, wiring and structure. Did it not require any of the inspections where you live? Seems like you took out huge chunks of the wall studs for the plumbing runs. That ought to really weaken the studs with what looks like 3/4 or more of them chopped out.

The plumbing and electrical inspections have been done already. The only thing I changed was the placement of the sink and I don't think my inspector will mind that. The walls are not load bearing and in some spots will be reinforced with more lumber in a future (secret) project ;)
