A tip is to not import all the photos you don’t need in Lightroom and also after importing, make sure syncing is not enabled, under the cloud icon, as that can slow down the editing process. I personally import the selected photos I want from a device, edit them and only after I am done editing I turn syncing under the cloud icon “On” (usually overnight during bedtime, so it can upload and save to the cloud.

Amazing video Zac, thanks for it!!! Quick Q ... do you know if you can apply a preset to JUST a masked area? if not do you know if that is something they are going to bring out? sometimes you just want to apply the preset settings to part of the photo

Not that I know of. You can control the amount of a preset that want to apply to your entire photo, but I don’t think it’s an option to add a preset in masking

@@ZacSopak I hope they bring something in so you can apply a preset to just a masked area ... all they would need to do is make the "preset" a editable option when you select the mask

Great video! Thank you. One question I have is when I edit in Lightroom mobile and then export my photo to my iPhone 15 Pro Max, the image looks gray and not at all like it looks in Lightroom. What can I do to change this? Thank you.

I think that’s just how the iPhone reads RAW files. Once you get them into Lightroom you should be good 👍🏻

@@clark5894130 yes, you can edit clips in Lightroom, but your tools are very limited. With that said, one of the tools you can use is the color grading panel

I have a problem, I'm processing a RAW photo taken from a mirrorless camera in Lightroom on the iPhone 14 Pro. When saving, I choose the JPG format, but the phone saves the JPEG format, which does not suit me. What can you do?

JPEG and JPG are the same file format. The only difference is the number of letters in the file extension. The only reason JPG exists is because the earlier versions of Windows operating systems had a maximum 3-letter limit when it came to file names.

Hey Zac have you ever had the issues of not having the icon that looks like a picture frame with a plus sign? I've deleted the app and reinstalled it, and still only have the camera sign, so can't import anything

Go to the Lightroom tab (looks like a cloud and a picture frame at the bottom of the app) Then tap the icon that looks like a picture frame with a plus sign. Select your photos you want to import

While editing the white and black point, i tried to click on the screen but it shows me "before" instead of making it black/white...im using android, can i configure it to make it black/white instead of showing the "before" when i touch the screen? Great video btw! ❤
