i can listen to Master P talk all day man. he's the definition of real. coming out of the ghetto and making something out of nothing is beautiful. his intellect and his business acumen is to be revered. Every time he speaks i learn something. i look at him as a better influence than diddy, jay-z, and even Dre.

The first and ONLY to get a 80/20 distribution deal. P was a genius! He was making $14-15 per album and putting out 5-6 albums a year. Do the math! He didn't have to go platinum per album. He just had to sale 67k per album to gross a $1 million per album. Then he was making a ton of money touring and radio station spin publishing.

Master P recognize early on the existence of a system that maintains privilege based on color and or how well you align it. But compare to others he REFUSED to internalize one’s own inferiority and accept that is the only model that he can use to make sense of the world AND FOUND creative and pragmatic ways to avoid its pitfalls.

incredible insight. this is one of the smartest men i ever heard in my life. the way he speaks. so much intelligence coming from his mouth. i wish i knew Master P. I would love to pick his brain on how to do business and start one. My young self didn't like him because it was about that East Coast/West Coast stuff with us growing up but as a grown man, I appreciate what P did for hip hop and I actually listen to some of his records and It was good. No Limit have their place in this game and it's well deserved. Sometimes, it takes a grown perspective to appreciate things in life. I wish i could have known what he known and what I known now, years ago. I probably would have been like P right now

This was a very good and respectable interview with one of the lords of the rap game. Master P is PARTICULARY respected by Chicagoans and Midwesterners. Dude was dropping albums all the time while others were constantly delaying record releases so that No Limits wouldn't interfere with there's. Problem was No Limit passed up and over most of the good talent. Tupac is alright but like Master P said at 3:20 Souljah Slim and Scarface are respected as the most relatable to us in the South and West. HipHopDX is FFFFFAAAAARRRRR more respectable than 105.1 Breakfast Club's shabby "interviews." Love this interview HipHopDX.

Eminem on No Limit? Damn No Limit would've really gave Cash Money a run for their money, I honestly think it would've been a good fit.
