does professor Sauer still teach? or is it pretty much only but seminars?

He lives in Savannah presently and makes some guest appearances at my friend's James' gym Gracie Jiu Jitsu Savannah.

anytime I see grabbing the belt in a move, i just skip it.

It was initially shown with a lat grab which is effective as well. Master Sauer teaches in concepts instead of rigid 1 way methods. In order for your training to be effective,I believe approaching with concepts keeps your mind sharp and open. Teaches you to see opportunities that you may not necessarily see from a rigid stand point.

Agreed.. take things for what they are and the context they're used in. 80% of time for me is to work onthings that are applicable everywhere.
