Could be as simple as a loose connection inside your device; but you'll need to watch tons of vids to see how to take your phone apart - THEN PUT IT BACK TOGETHER. I have used a technique where I have 2 of the exact same phones 1 that works 1 that the screen does not turn on. Then as I reset the device that works, I do the exact same process with the device with no screen power. Also, you can watch the video and imitate the motions / button presses that you see ONTO the no screen power device. So if you can feel the no screen power device vibrate when you hold the power on vol button, then you can click the button (without seeing the menus) to get to the correct menu choices and factory reset the device. Well...bad news...100% it's not new then. Go back to where you bought it - return it. That is the only thing you can do.

100% no. Unfortunately if you Factory Reset the device, you have erased everything. You could be lucky if you accidentally were backing up your stuff to google. You will have to log into your google account to see. I am not an expert at google back up / google restore so I can't help you that the process. I hope you were lucky!

If you put on your gmail / google account, you will 100% need that again to log into your phone after you factory reset it. Everyone knows their own gmail / google account...you need it to log into youtube and comment. If you used some other email - you'll have to find it - otherwise your phone is a brick. If you are saying that the volume button does not work on your LG you can try cleaning around the button with an old toothbrush or paint brush. Wipe a little Windex (window) cleaner on a rag - not too wet - and wipe the button, then brush again. Sometimes that can help the button to work if it is an older phone.

Everything is erased from the phone with a factory reset. However, there are tons of apps that you can use for backup, BEFORE you factory reset - or even using another phone. The only thing that remains is "Find my Device" or "Find my Phone" or "Factory Reset Protection" - so remember your Google or Gmail if you used it to set up this phone. Good luck.

You are in a tough spot - you 100% need the old Gmail / email and password. One place you may look... Go to any computer that you used in the past. If you go to the 3 dots or 3 lines in the upper right of the browser > settings > autofill > password manager. Look for Google or Gmail account. Other than that, unless you have a physical copy of old passwords, then that phone will be locked forever.

Unfortunately no. As the name implies it resets the phone back to how it was when it came from the factory. As you proceed through the process, the phone does give you the warnings that it will 'delete all user data'

Sorry Dood. These are instructions on how to factory reset your phone. I don't know anything about your bills or your apps or your barcodes. The Factory Reset will remove all downloads and apps that you added to your device. If you have an account with a certain app, then all you need to do is re-download it and then log back in. Thanks I managed to get everything back to normal I removed my SD card last night and all my stuck apps started working I had a few problems before with my memory cards maybe it was corrupted or something I have a 64 GB phone anyway just glad I didn't have to do a reset, phew

Yes. You can power off. If something did not go right with the factory reset, you might need to factory reset it again. If you have a phone that you used a ton - with many apps and many photos - it may take many minutes for it to reboot - but not 24 hours. If your phone is so full that it has almost no RAM available - it may take many hours to reboot.

Factory reset clears everything off of your phone. After you reset it, you will have to log in with your Gmail or Google log in info (if you left it on your phone) then you will have to download all of the apps you use - like Insta. Yes. Use whatever back-up method you prefer FIRST. The factory reset is going to erase everything - all phone numbers, pics, vids, apps, etc. The ONLY thing it won't erase is your security (find my device) or if you have used your Google / Gmail account - it will still require you to log in with your Google / Gmail.

Many of those videos are faked. You need to be working in a secret MIT or CIA lab to be able to ATTEMP to access data from a factory reset device. Been in this biz for 16 years - the one lab I know at one of the Universities near me, tell me that a factory reset COMPLETELY removes data from the device.

It sounds like you need hands on assistance - Please go to your local TMobile / ATT / Verizon / Cricket or another cell phone shop - they will help you.

It will erase your screen lock. It won't erase your google / gmail account. It won't erase any "find my device" security. So if you used your email / password on anything, that won't be erased. Just the pin, pattern, password for the screenlock.

Give your power button a little cleaning - maybe some dust or grime is keeping it from working correctly. Also, you can try to reset by going into your settings.

If you are the owner of the device, I think you have to call your provider to help you. Usually, if the device is password locked after reset - and you lost the password - I think you are out of luck. Your Provider will have a better answer than me.

It 100% resets your phone like you just got it new out of the box. You'll have to reinstall all your apps and reset all your wifi log-in info. It will not reset your mobile data usage if you have limits with your carrier.

Ok. Maybe try making sure you are holding down POWER last when you are holding both buttons down. Also, try letting go super fast - as SOON as you see the logo. Also, if that doesn't work, try holding a little bit longer. Also, some people are saying that the new Android update is making you plug your charger in - to a charger OR to a pc. (You don't need any software, just let your pc or laptop connect with the phone. THEN do the button combo. I know you will get it. Good luck!

I use a S10e...and I just did it on my phone - I first hold Vol Up and Bixby. Then I hold Power. And when it vibrates and I see the Samsung logo, I let go of every button quickly. Android Recovery comes right up not problem. Again, good luck!

Hmmmm... Well, sometimes it takes a few time to make it work. First, make sure you press the POWER LAST. That's usually the mistake everyone makes. If you are wanting to save old photos and contacts on your phone - if you Factory Reset it - ALL OF THAT DATA WILL BE ERASED. I am not familiar with work-arounds if your goal is to keep your data, photos, etc. If you use apps like IG or YT or or store your photos inside your google account (on your google drive) you will be able to reset the phone, re-download the apps, log into your apps - and your old data will be there.
