The reading passage is about sunk cost which is the cost incurred by investing large amount of money on unnecessary products. The professor further illustrates this cost by giving an example of vacuum with narrow and small filter. She mentions that instead of buying a new vacuum, we often invest bulk of money on filter. Sum of costing of buying filter is associated with sunk cost. This not only wastes money, but also valuable time. After reading and listening, I totally understand what sunk cost is.

Great lesson. I think the definition given in the scratch notes is not accurate. As the text and lecture talk about two different animals belonging to the same species (1). Adapting to two different areas. Two species are usually different. Here one species, two different animals/ belonging to it. Am I wrong? Thanks

I found you very helpful and organized. But i found something that is not the clinal variation, esp it is not about two species, it talks about same species how changed gradually in different area/ climate. Also the example nad note about elephant is not correct, that will be just opposite. but you got 5 stars in simplification and strategy
