Hey, Sonic main here. I have actually recreated the fastest stage and tested it myself but Sonic can run faster than the fastest stage with spirits. He just needs a bit of time to fully accelerate. For the spirits I used, I put Super Sonic in the runner style dojo with a trade off speed, a lightweight, and a increase speed spirit. You could also use Starfy with a trade-off speed, and two lightweights to pass the challenge. In fact, both of these spirits boost Sonic's speed so much that he can outrun the fastest stage with the strongest wind on top of that. Hope that helps

Technically just to become “faster” then Sonic for a few seconds, hero has to use a ability. So raw speed goes to Sonic.

@@lihzzahrdspeed6631 However, Sonic was able to do something the rest weren't able to do: Defeat beings who have power over time itself. Sure, he may have gone Super in those and had some help (Shadow and Silver in the case of Mephiles/Solaris and his Classic self for the Time Eater), but he was able to do it.

I’ve escaped Zelda’s final smash as Sonic before. What I did was I air dodged down since she was in the air and I just kept running as fast as I could and eventually broke free
