Another 'simple' addition to Mastercam 2024 that has a big impact on your programming efficiency, graphical planes in the Drilling toolpath and colored geometry selection in the MultiAxis toolpaths. Both make seeing what is selected and how it will effect the toolpath much more obvious before you go through the time of creating the toolpath.
In Drilling, the graphical planes allow you to see the location of Clearance, Retract, Top of Stock, Depth, and Tip Comp. In the past, understanding the effect Absolute vs Incremental had on these locations within drilling was hard for new users. This should make things very clear, leading to fewer mistakes and much less frustration.
In the MultiAxis paths, most have this color selection option in them now. Much like a 3D path could show different colors for Drive and Check, we now get this ability in the multi axis world. Things like drive curves, machining geometry, check geometry, etc, will all have a color associated with them that will show the moment you open the toolpaths parameters. This makes seeing what is selected quick and easy. Before, you would have to enter the selection mode to see what was chosen.
A few simple changes to the interface, making your job of programming parts easier. This is the sort of thing we always look forward to in an update!
