In this video, I'm going to show you an easy way to use a flat end mill to chamfer steep edges on a part, which is impossible to do with a chamfering tool. This method only works on straight or slightly curve edges.

I just got back into production - a lot of aluminum. My higher ups will appreciate the way Giang The Tool has helped groom my techniques in order to save time.

you are giving very useful tips, but keep repeating the same things. if you talk less and keep the video shorter then it will be very good. thanks

good job

Couldn’t the same be done by assigning a smaller than actual tool diameter to the tool creating the chamfer?

Можно проще. Построить фаску и прогнать по ней Flowline and Rib cut, а потом mirror Toolpath

I have a vf2 with hrt210 When I try to do an engraving program in the verify it shows up right but at the machine it's backwards I've tried to change mcam parameters it's 2018 btw Is there something in the Post processor I need to change ? If I change on mcam from cw to ccw on verify it's backwards but at the Machine it's right I've tried origin on both left and right on X didn't make a difference . Is it because on the machine parameter page it shows the rotary on left side of table where is mine is on the right ? Thanks for your help . I really think it must be a change needed in the post I'm using the generic 4x haas post with cimco I changed the A axis in the files and didn't make a difference there either

Technically that is a fillet rad not a chamfer.
@homer48894 жыл бұрын
That is skill & experience man. With that small of a detail you won't even notice that it's actually a fillet. You need to be creative like this. That's what will separate you from the others.

@@homer4889 In my level of work (aerospace)25+ years that would get you sacked not putting the right break edge on. Its also why British are great engineers as we do not cut corners.
@johnking61774 жыл бұрын
@@harezy Nobody told you to do anything that you don't want to do holmes. This method actually works on many mold base parts that I make. If British are so great at engineering, how do you explain Jones and Shipman cylindrical grinders? Hahaha! Moron.

@@harezy LOL so what do you do, grind corners?
