Jessie was my favorite to win on Season 4. Sad that she only reach Top 3 but that was already VERY impressive.

One season they weeded out 50% of the contestants based on their ability to chop onions. The ability to fillet a whole fish perfectly was used as an elimination challenge once. Contestants need to demonstrate good basic kitchen skills or they're out.

Never understood Ramseys and the bald dudes comments on her dish. Ramsey says it's a "dish from the 80s". Well the New York Strip steak has been around since the 1800s. I think it's still pretty popular. Then the bald guy says that ass backwards shit basically meaning less is more. Ok then but was the dish good? That's really all that should matter along with the presentation.

Some people who can cook at least fairly well don't know how to properly cut meat or veg, most of what regular people buy these days from markets are already trimmed and cleaned. Remember these are all home cooks, they don't necessarily have the proper training in knife skills and other techniques.

Two of the top three contestants on this season barely made it past this stage of the competition.

She was my favorite along with Luca this particular season. Joe is such a douche bag. He is a snobby self obsorbed prima doma. Jessie should have been in the final 2. How Chrissi made it to #4 is beyond me. Should have been gone way before she was.
