It was so well deserved Garry Birtles summed it up Doncaster tore Southend a new one in the semi final and the best side won in the final phenomenal. As for Leeds there was pride for the way they turned around their 15 point penalty to make it this far but they didn't turn up in the final.

We miss John Ryan. Still nearly 15 years on, this was the greatest day of my life. The memories watching this brought back has me in tears
