In this video, I head out to the forest to show you how to tap a birch tree.
The Birch Tree you want to tap should be at least 25cm in diameter and once done, pay careful attention to plug the hole as not doing so will bleed the tree to death.

Never done it this way before, handy because i always have silicone tube when out.

Thank you Charlotte! Yeah it's a relatively easy process, get it dripping, go have a wander, cook up some hot chocolate on that twig stove you made, return in a few hours and you've got juice! Hope you and yours are all doing well!

@@TreeDeepOutdoors i think we will,I'm more mobile now I have a new bike,so we may go try now it's the holidays. I made bacon rolls first on the twig burner,and got a dinky kettle (just because lol) .they were delish. We are well ,hope you all are too .

I was going to say about plugging it and then there it was a plug. I've yet tp have the pleasure of the birch sap. I bet it's delicious. Mark

Hey Bruce, absolutely could come in handy if you're low on water! It took around 3 1/2 to 4 hours to acquire that amount of liquid. Thanks for your comment dude, always appreciated! Hope you're doing well 👍
