Thanks. Haha, yeh, I don't know. I think I'm gonna do more basic stuff and content like this on a membership site or something. I think it might not be for a mass audience. :)

Average social media user wants "spicy" Content not "pure gold". Might sound hurtful or even classist but no offense intended it's the bitter truth.

He also needs to upload on a regular basis to be taken into account by youtube, not so much gold out there to do this

Great stuff!! Your approach makes sense to why I am drawn to creating complexity in my own photos. I am naturally attracted to this concept. I have been photographing documentary/street/travel for many years but we must always keep learning. So I'll sign up! Thanks Mitchell.

Unfortunately not happening any time soon. :( Chile made some super strict rules for Australians to enter and for my wife (from Belarus, it's virtually impossible). Maybe things will change one day.

I remember being told that every photograph needs a subject, but thinking about it as visual cues really has me rethinking how I want my photographs to be. I learn so much from your videos! I also really appreciated the sounds you used for each photo - I felt like I was there!

I’m glad I discovered your channel. This is great advice! I’ve enjoyed watching the video and looking forward to the rest. One item of feedback, the audio (voice) seems a bit off. Not sure if it’s the mic or processing.

@@mitchellkphotos The voice part has a bit of tinny/metallic tone. It's more obvious on headphones and before music starts (first 25 seconds). I can’t say for sure why. From my experience, it happened to me when background noise suppression was too strong or voice compression was too high. That said, I really like the overall sound design in the video and goes great with the images.

@@Moustafa11 Aaah, good ear. Yes, it's likely the voice isolation. It might be tinny in parts, but I prefer that to noise, though I should not have used it in this case probably, as it was already quiet.

Your images are incredibly fluent. There aren't any extraneous details. There's always a clear figure to ground relationship. The compositions are nice and tidy. The subjects are well lit (unless you purposely want them to be in silhouette). These fundamentals that you, probably, incorporate unconsciously, at this point, are like the foundation upon which you deliver your visual message.

Mitchell, do you do any street photography? It's one thing when you are spending an extended period of time with a community and the people are at ease with you, but I'm curious how your techniques would apply to street photography where you, generally, have to react quickly. How does one pick up on these cues when everything is happening so quickly? I love your kind of documentary photography, but I don't think that that's in my future. I'd like to be able to take better street/candid photos and, especially, portraits.
