I worked at lowes and picked up Koibalt when I found them on sale like 6pc kit with a few batteries for $100, etc... Their tool only stuff is usually only like 60-80% of milwaukee and their stuff goes on clearance a lot. I also would find batteries for 1-30 bucks a pop. As a nonprofessional I think kobalt is really on another level as far as overall bang for the buck goes if you shop smart.

Milwaukee has a better reputation but I find the ergonomics of the Kobalt to be more comfortable and I've owned both.

I mean the factor here do differentiate as in if he’s putting the same amount of pressure on each drill, the angle because you can see the Milwaukee slipped for a moment and also this man seems to be right handed which would promp the offset of both drills

I got a lot of Kobalt 24v tools around 15 they make a good product if anything goes wrong right back to Lowes and they make it right. Iv had Kobalt for about 5 years only problem I had was the 5" angle grinder trigger went after 2 years brought it back to Lowes gave me a brand new one. Best bet to wait for sales I got the 8.0ah battery for 99$ last month.

Kobalt has 5 year warranty as long as you have the receipt or any proof of purchase

The serial number on the tool has the year it was manufactured you should see 2 boxes one with four numbers and one with six the four digits are the date example= 0817 would be August 2017 they call a guy from the tool dept to the return desk and he verifies it. If they gave you a problem I'd call corporate because that's BS.

That's funny! Use what you have and like. He was just showing this for people that have no clue what they want... mostly DIY consumers. Although, I know if you're a trades worker no one will steal your blue tools and they won't cost much. Lowes will exchange your broken tool for a new one easy!

One thing I notice with different brands of products is people are passionate for their brand I've seen it across many different products from power tools, firearms, truck brands to atvs. Im sure theres more but you always have the "fan boys" of brands and the versus videos of brands always lead to some sorta line like "lets see what your honda ford,glock dewalt etc are at after X years of use and abuse.. just a speculation

I own both. I've seen reviews of trades workers saying they're stuff is still going strong plus no one steals their tools on the jobsite like they steal dewalt and Milwaukee. It's a better deal for the cost of the batteries and warranty whether you're a trades worker or a weekend warrior. They do not have the extensive tools that Milwaukee though so that's why it's a better brand for the weekend warrior or a carpenter.

That’s a gen 2 Milwaukee against the new Kobalt. Put the new Kobalt up against the new Milwaukee Fuel version. I’m already in the Milwaukee family of tools and batteries so I’m happy staying where I’m at regardless of performance (which Milwaukee usually wins anyways) and I only use my tools for DIY stuff at home that I like to take my time with anyways.

I got rid of all my Makita and swapped to Milwaukee about 2 years ago.the drills have alot more power,and I like the high output batteries like the 9amp and 12amp. In all honesty though,Makita, DeWalt and Milwaukee are all pretty similar.its down to personal preference in the end.one brand will do something better than the other brand,but they'll have something else that better than the rivals etc. You can't go wrong with either of those 3 brands to be honest.

I would say Milwaukee would out last Kobolt as far as longevity...the fact that you don't have the same strength in both hands would also play into the challenge,as far as equal down pressure.

I had a kobalt impact wrench and i had been using it for a good 5 years now and still going. Kobalts are not bad. Batteries are very affordable.

Yeah but for the price you can buy replacement and more tools for other project. I have Dewalt but currently selling em and going with Kobalt. Kobalt has been better price range and gets the job done too. Most folks just flexing the price and name of the brand nowadays. And like he first replied said, batteries are affordable why I’m going with Kobalt.

Kobalt is adorable everyday and they have a sale going on most often. Their batteries are very affordable. If you're not in a platform research kobalt then go from there. Just cuz your faster doesn't mean anything. These guys like doing this for the fan boys out there but the real test is out on the job either at home or work. A lot of guys get their tools stolen in the jobsite but the blue gets overlooked so it just depends what you are looking for. I own Milwaukee M12 Fuel Impact Driver, drill driver, M18 fuel router but I own Flex router, sander, impact driver, hammer drill, but I prefer dewalts oscillating tool instead of Milwaukee's M12 or M18. Bottom line they're all great but each has their super star. I love my M12s even though I have the Flex which is better but it's heavy so I'd rather have a lighter tool.
