Beautiful amp that built with the best components available. Thanks to the lower wages in Malaysia the amp has been priced very cheaply compare to other top brands. If this was built in Japan or US it would be double in price. Bloody bargain of the century.....

thank you. I was looking at this integrated amp as my end game amp mainly for headphones, but it is very sharp. Very detailed but far from pleasant. This is more of a party trick then something I would use when coming home from work. Looks cool, it is impressive to look at and to first experience, but between this and a rebelamp at 7-8% of the cost and S3200, I would not pick the S3200 in 99% of times.

I left my Number on there email address and Mads Buchardt Called me, within a few hours. They deal DIRECT with Customer, taking the middleman out of the Sales system... They were about 1600 euros, but that included All VAT, Shipping, TAXS. Check them out of the Tube, they are Killer sweet. I also Purchased a IOTAXV SA3&PA3 Amp&Pre Amp from IOTA,,, again DIRECT... you would be hard pressed to find such a Quality & Powerful unit(s) in the USA for that price. Speak to IAN. Both of them when I got mine also included FREE 3-5day DHL Shipping to the USA. I believe the Buchardt would be along the line of the TOP bookshelf speaker made by Focal which are what $5K or so. Very few American made Speakers can give you the Quality as those made overseas. 60% of American made Speaker are Labor Cost Driven! Economics, I support American made product when Economically feasible. It's like the McDonalds worker who want $18.00 per hour for a Minimum SKILLED job, therefore I guess Technical ly trained people should made $55.00 minimum. The old dog chasing it tail...concept!

I walked into my local Yamaha dealer over the weekend with much enthusiasm. When I heard that the sticker price was $ 8K I walked out of the store feeling quite dejected knowing that I have been priced out of the market. Once one acquires a suitable pair of speakers and a premium CD player, a new Toyota Corolla will cost less. Pity about that!

I think Yamaha’s are too much money for what they are, for similarly priced you can buy Bryston separates, in my opinion much better than Yamaha. I think they are gouging people for they have to offer. Not saying they are bad but the price tag is way too high!!!
@yippie6862
@yippie6862 3 жыл бұрын
I somewhat agree with you. I think the 1200 and 2200 are fairly priced but this 3200 is not. There is not enough differences between the 2200 and the 3200 to justify a $3500 price increase. $7500 is just too much. Lot's of other choices are available at that price. $5000 would have been fair in my opinion. It is made in Malaysia and not Japan so manufacturing costs are much lower. I'm sure Yamaha would still make money.
@craighoffman6876
@craighoffman6876 3 жыл бұрын
@@yippie6862 Agree - and I own the 1200. For the cash, the 3200 should offer significantly more power, it should be able to run any audiophile speaker on the planet at low impedence loads. There are inefficient high current demanding speakers that the amp comes up a bit short on. Beautiful amp, but way too high a price. Affordable Audio sometimes has refurbs though, I got my 1200 from them for 2K delivered, it was not distinguishable from new and not broken in yet. It is broken in now and it has been flawless. I wonder if someone got it and returned it as they did not like it's slightly bright sound. These amps do need at least 100 hours of break in.
@yippie6862
@yippie6862 3 жыл бұрын
@@craighoffman6876 Yes, from I read both the 1200 and 2200 take a long time to break-in. After that the bright sound mostly goes away. Compared your 1200 the 3200 has a slightly larger power supply, a few upgraded parts (not that expensive) and the biggest change is the chassis. It's much thicker and stronger structure that is suppose to reduce vibrations. Also, it has balanced inputs, phono switch on the front and larger VU meters. Interestingly it does sound better, but is it really worth a $4700 premium? That would buy a nice pair of speakers.

Audio and sound are subjective hobbies. I don't think so at all. They have been making instruments for a long time, so I think the philosophy of sound is better than other companies. I rather think other companies are cheating users.
